I have shopped here everythime I've visited Colombia over the past few years. The store is small and cluttered to the point that it is near impossible to move, but, we've made a habit of supporting it, and every small hobby shop around, as they are very rare these days. I'm afraid this is the last time my family will shop here, however. As the almost the entire free world as been unmasked for months (including most local hospitals), the shop is still insistent on mask wearing. We were treated as pariahs, as we had chucked the face diapers months ago, Instead of valued costumers. We all felt very uncomfortable. Mostly model railroading in O, HO, N with some model aircraft , tanks, buildings and ship kits and a slew of others all packed into an old 1921 gas station, Joe Rucker's little hobby shop is perfect for the hobbyist looking for most anything old school scale hobby related. For action toys, look elsewhere; Joe little shop is for scale modelers, history buffs, scale artist's, perfectionists, etc. If he hasn't got it on his shelves, he can probably find and get it. Read moreThey are packed to the ceiling "quite literally" with model trains, supplies, scenery and even have a little railroad memorabilia. If you are looking for something in particular, just ask. The staff is helpful and can point you in the right direction. They do have some plastic models (Cars and Military) but mostly this place is about the trains. I wish they had more floor space and a bigger building. I travel the 90 miles to Columbia just to look through their stock.
