We were picking out flooring for our entire top level and spent nearly 3 hours in the store looking at different colors and options. (I am very indecisive!) They have large floor section-sized samples so it was easier for me to visualize the layouts in my head. Rick was the sales floor team member that helped us. He had a lot of good information and helpful suggestions and was VERY patient with my going back and forth trying to make a decision. He was around to answer any questions and offer advice but also allowed us to browse at our leisure to make sure we got what we wanted. I never felt pressured or rushed or that he was annoyed with me taking so long. Upon making our choice, Dominick (manager) and Tristan helped us check out and made sure we were happy with our choices and helped us pick out coordinating transition pieces. We definitely felt like we were not just another face walking in the door. We were very pleasantly surprised with the level of customer service and so happy that we visited this store. We will go back for sure and will recommend them highly. Also, upon our return trip to pick up our flooring, the two men who loaded our truck and trailer were friendly, welcoming, and did a great job of ensuring the load was properly loaded. They were careful and took their time to make sure nothing was damaged, and it was how we liked it. Customer service...
Read moreWe were in the middle of a bathroom renovation, when the Floor and Decor store in our area (St. Louis, MO) when the unfortunate unexpected event, that seems to be always a part of renovation projects, struck. We ran out of the clearance ceramic bullnose tile pieces we needed and it was out of stock in the stores here. We called Floor and Decor customer service call center (bad move). We informed them that more of the tile we needed was in the West Des Moines, Iowa store. They place our ordered which not only arrived late (after we had paid to have it expeidited) but when it arrived, it was the wrong tile. Frustrated, and desparate because we had to pay the contrator for the delays, I reached out directly to the Des Moines store and "faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...well you know the rest, Des Moines store manage Dominic Constabileo and his staff came to our rescue. They were able to package and ship the correct tile via Fedex to save the day. Without their help and Dominic personally walking this through from start to finish, and going abouve and beyond the call of duty, our project would have gone from finish to failure. Thanks again Dominic to you...
Read morePlanning for the reno of a couple of bathrooms, along with a new tiled shower from the studs. Wasn't sure what to expect from this store, as it is new to the area, but couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Pricing was excellent when compared to the big box stores, along with mind-blowing tile and flooring selections on the shelf, easy to browse isles, and ability to grab what you need and go; but the real kicker was the customer service and experience of the floor staff (shout out to Matt and Steve). They will let you walk and browse and not bother you, but if you ask questions, they are ready and willing to help like no other home store I've frequented - which are many! This is NOT like the boutique, sales-heavy, tile and flooring stores in the area (which I purposefully avoid). I hands down prefer this store to Menards, Home Depot and Lowe's when considering options for tile, flooring and supplies. This is a great DIY addition to the Des Moines area folks, if you haven't stepped in, you need to put it on your...
