If I could give the customer service 10 stars, I would. Our AAU team from Virginia went up to the Philly area for a tournament. On our second day, after our quarterfinal game, we went to the café. The manager there, Keke, was the sweetest person that I have ever met. She was telling us about how the acai bowls were 5 dollars that day and that if we won our next game and came back then we would get discounts on our smoothies if we went online and gave a customer service review on their website. After ordering and finishing our smoothies, right before we left, Keke came and gave us free samples of her own signature smoothie. I'm not only saying this because this is a review and I'm supposed to be judge-y and all that, but, MAN, that smoothie was THE BEST THING ON PLANET EARTH. It was that kind of addictive that you literally could not stop having another slurp of it. We left, and then won our semifinal game to later come back to the café. Keke and her crew were rooting for us, and counted on us to win the final. When we came back to get our discounted smoothies, the redeem code wasn't working, and she deducted the dollar amount anyway (Tropical Smoothie Café, please give this girl a raise). We then went, won our final game by 3 points, and came back to surprise Keke with the trophy. She started tearing up and crying happy tears, and complementing us on winning. We then took a selfie and thanked her for everything that she had done for us.

Read moreI decided to stop in last week (for the first time) because I wanted to grab a quick smoothie for the road. When I walked in and got to the register, I was “greeted” by someone who could not have been any less excited to be at work. This actually didn’t bother me until later on. I ordered one smoothie, paid, and put the remainder of my change into the tip jar. I then sat at the counter area for TWENTY MINUTES until the man to the left of me and the woman to the right of me complained. The woman ended up leaving and told the employee to leave her smoothie on the counter, she’ll be there to pick it up later. After waiting another few minutes and watching the employee put zero effort in to speed up the process, I too decided to leave. I never received my smoothie and never received my money back. I simply received a “oh, okay” from the employee when I informed her I had to be at work. This place...

I had an online order pickup that was supposed to be ready ( text confirmed) before i arrived. When i arrived, the employee said it was not ready & i had to wait. I asked her to cancel the order bc i had to go to work and could not be late. She refused to cancel the order and just kept telling me to wait. So i waited and then in the end we found out my order was indeed already made and sitting on the back counter the whole time. So i waited for no reason and was late to work.
I spoke with the manager and they gave me a coupon for a free meal but he kinda tossed it at me carelessly. Apparently its difficult for them to cancel an order with...
