Giant Eagle Supermarket — Local services in West Mifflin

If I could give negative stars I would. I just had the most unpleasant and rude experience with who I believe is a store leader (caucasian male, shorter brown hair, red shirt and glasses) today 12/15/18 around 2:38pm (time stamp on receipt). I have had issues with this store before and this is the final straw. I just had food I was buying publicly criticized by the before mentioned GE employee while he was bagging by yelling across to a different cashier about the item while he held it up for everyone to see. "Look it's that STUFF..." then the cashier said from directly behind me "ew not for me, I eat the real stuff." I have never been so embarrassed and upset by an experience in my life. I have a dietary reason for purchasing a meatless product and I did not appreciate having it being publicly displayed and commented on in such a rude manner. It is no one business what food I am buying. I am a paying customer and spent almost 200 dollars on this shopping trip. But you can bet I will never come back to this store or any Giant Eagle EVER AGAIN. I hope you treat other customers with more respect and kindness than you treated me today. Happy...

The produce was not good, the staff is not really friendly, the prices are too high and I asked the security guy at the front if he would keep an eye on my bicycle. He basically said no because he was just there as a deterrent. My tires have been slashed before and I've had stuff stolen while I was locked up at their bicycle stand on there property before. I explained that to him and asked if he could deter people from harming my bicycle while I shopped. He didn't even know where the bicycle stand was (,about 50-75 feet outside of one of the doors) and then when he looked, he told me the plants on display were blocking it. Just an all around horrible place. I called about the produce (it was a bag of oranges and a bag of grapes specifically, stuff I couldn't check really in the store) to see about returning it or whatever, or honestly just to let them know because it was legit inedible. Yesterday evening, I did grocery shopping at Giant Eagle located 9901 Mountainview Drive, West Mifflin, Pa 15122 (store #73). As I proceeded to place my groceries on the conveyor belt to checkout the cashier had a clueless look on her face. Come to find out the guy in front of me told her to give me his change. I thought that was so kind of him and wish I could've had the chance to thank him before he left the store. Sadly, the cashier was hesitant to give me the cash. She asked surrounding coworkers what she should do. One coworker replied, "just give it to her." Before she handed me the cash she stated, "just make sure you don't buy any drugs with this..." At this point, I had a shocked look on my face, felt very embarrassed and degraded. I am a young professional that does not participate in drug activity in anyway, shape or form.
