I absolutely LOVE this store yet HATE it at the same time. Every single time I'm in these stores, I feel as though every single worker is looking down their nose at me or criticizing me because I look like I'm not good enough to be in their stores. I have an Ulta credit card and a Sephora credit card and I can easily shop at Sephora however, there's not one close to where I live and I feel Sephora is even WORSE at treating me like garbage. It's crazy how they judge you in this store. I get a quick meager hi from someone and then, it's not until I am in the store for more than 30 minutes and might be looking at say, an Urban Decay or Anastasia palette they think I might be trying to steal, that's when I might get a tiny bit of attention. Other than that though, I never get asked if I need any help. The worker women stand in little groups of just themselves and chitchat or they're just nowhere to be found. I'm not really looking at all the jargon underneath the description of each name, I'm just going by if it's citrus or woody, etc. I had a sample smell from a department store fragrance, and it did not smell the same as at Ulta. It was absolutely and totally different. Better smelling from the department store is more true to scent. Fast forward to yesterday, I went to Sephora and found a fragrance I just loved! Then I went to Ulta, smelled the same fragrance, and it did not smell the same!!! So I spoke with a clerk about the difference, and she said that it is because of the EDP, EDC, or EDT. Now, I had completely forgotten about those abbreviations. So, bottom line, go to a real fragrance store and pay attention to all lettering. When I was checking out, my card got declined (because of a chip malfunction on Ultaâs end) and the cashier kept implying that my card was faulted and that I should âget a new one if it keeps declining like this.â Meanwhile, it was a brand new card and I told her that it had not declined anywhere else in the past. Then, she prompted me to use a different payment method because she did not know what to do or how to fix the problem, which was super inconvenient for me. Earlier in my visit, it took a long time (and several different associates) to check in the back for a product I wanted that was not on the shelves.
