ALDI — Local services in West Mifflin

Love coming here. They always have really good finds. However, some of the people working here are not the friendliest. The last two times my husband and I were here we encountered rude employees. There were two young girls working and talking, very loudly so that anybody could hear, about how "dumb" the customers were and how people would ask stupid questions so they would give them stupid answers. Also, last weekend we were in line and the cashier got mad because they asked for the cart (which I was getting to) but was helping my husband with something. I turned back around to give the cashier the cart and she grabbed it from me, swung it around the register and banged it up against the register. It was so loud, my husband turned around to see what happened. Super poor skills to have working...

What is not to like? It's ALDI! Store is clean. Check out is quick. Seasonal items section is large.

95% of the items in ALDI are of the same quality as major brands, but cost a lot less. In fact, some of the major brands produce ALDI products, just under the ALDI private labels. However, there are those one-off items, which definitely need improvement, but these are limited. Produce: Overall the produce is decent, however, I would say there is a 33% reduction in shelf life on their produce. Dairy: Milk, butter, eggs, etc., there is no comparison here. The best prices around... all the time. Cheeses are stellar... from hard to processed Deluxe American slices along with the occasional brand name hard cheeses. Meats: You have to learn what you like here. Limited variety, equals...

My beginning place for all shopping. I have never had a bad experience. They constantly upgrade. They now have self checkouts that only take credit cards. I was told that they would never take cash so I accept that. But I would wish that because this is an international company that the gift cards could be used at self checkout. For the amount of money that I spend at Aldi's, I would love to just load my food budget on a gift card and be able to get in and out quickly and efficiently. I will say that the cashiers are quick they're very nice and get through a long line in a good amount of time. I have no complaints going through a cashier checking out quickly. But still my vote is being able to use an Aldi's gift card in the self...
