Sac Tech Exchange — Local services in West Sacramento

My dad pointed me in the direction of the Tech Exchange to look for a decent computer as a Christmas gift for my nephew. I started checking them out and realized that they do repairs in addition to selling refurbished devices. I have an old laptop that needed a new hard drive.

I gathered the old computer and my daughter's slow, heavy, huge 17' laptop to see what they could do. They gave me a great deal on two new SSDs and an OS. Really fair price. I dropped the computers off at about 4pm on Friday and they called on Monday. When I went to pick them up I noticed a Chromebook for sale that my niece would like. Instead of just selling it to me and shooing me out the door they took the time to plug it in and make sure it was good to go. They sent me on my way with my two computers, the old hard drives, and the Chromebook.

Women! sick of Mansplaining?! I’ve never been to a more helpful, useful place in my life. Certainly the most knowledgeable people in the business of computers and electronic gear. There are so many other places ive been to, where they cant even tell you where the thumb drives are! And a lot of tech stores will talk down to you if u are a woman. The staff here has always treated me with nothing but respect. It goes a long way to feel like someone is actually on your side and gives you the benefit of the doubt. If you want hands on help, just want to make the smartest purchase, get the inside scoop on the latest most up to date technology, as well as, even repairing and preserving your old tech, theres no where else i would go. This company has destroyed my computer after it worked perfectly fine while attempting a trade for the last week. I have drove over 6 hours for multiple days after being told to show up at 230 pm. They then sent me away once more, telling me to come back for a third time (another 3 hour drive back and forth) and wiped my hard drives after bringing me to the back and telling me the pc is ok.
