Planet Fitness — Local services in West Springfield

I came into planet fitness on today as I always do I only do 3 things maybe when I'm there i have a black card membership when I walked to the desk, I asked a young man, could he cut on the hydro bed for me and could he let it run twice So I would not have to walk back to the front to tell him to turn it on again for me, he said, okay, looking towards the other young lady to see was it all right to do so Because I was asking i guess i am not to ask questions but he said, yes, I can do that. Just sit there, wait for it to cool down and I'll restart it. I said, fine, okay, no problem. So I go back to the back in a very good mood, and when I entered I got on the bed no one was in the room with me but me I was on number 1. Two others came in shortly after One got on 2 and the other got on 3, so now it was full, Mine's had finished. And I was sitting there waiting for him to start it again as i was told When another customer entered when she entered the lady asked her who had finished Oh, were you on 2 or 3? Because she was standing cleaning hers off and she said, one with a frown on her face i because I was still on it I said, oh, I'm sorry. I said you want me to clean it for you. And she act like she didn't understand English but she nodded for me not to clean it, and she laid down and and continue to press the button it didn't work I asked her, would she like me to tell them at the front to restart it for her? But she had a little frown on her face, so I just went and ask if he can start another bed for me. And I also explained to him what was going on? I did not see the lady at the front desk. I did not see her again when I went back into the room. I was in the room by myself again. I notice a older gentleman dressed in dress pants with a sweater hat. Fully dress with his outside clothing on walking back-and-forth peeping in the room looking at me didn't no why because he has been following me all day but No one else came in the room while I was on the bed I was in there until I finished when I was finishing Then the lady was walking back to the room we were passing each other up in the hall I asked her, did they fix the problem for her She had another frown on her face. So my assumption was she didn't want to talk so i stopped back in at the front desk to check in with the young man to make sure it wasn't any issue because I know that they're trying to build a case because I have had problems with them in the pass for the rudeness and nasty behavior from the employees I got ready to leave, and the same older man that's has been flowing me was walking on the back of my heels like he wanted to trip me or something so I immediately asked him, was he okay Because he have been following me all day today and is everything all right He said, keep living how I'm living my answer to him was I'm gonna keep living with God because God takes care of me I am very aware that I'm being monitored and watched. I'm very aware that my phone has been hacked and tracked in the state of Massachusetts by law enforcement and I be followed by local city workers, and citizens and law enforcement for nothing, I have not committed any crimes and I have not harmed anybody i am very aware that my name and character has been ruined throughout the state But thank you all who are monitoring me. I just wanted to put it on record because I don't want any more lies told on me like I have said something out of the way to the Older lady or anyone because I definitely respect my elders. This is my way of documenting what went on thank you to all law enforcement city workers and citizens that have been taking time out of their busy schedule to monitor what I got going on.Thank you.Oh, you make me feel very safe praying and asking god to reveal the truth of what's going on, because I have not committed any crimes in this state but definitely keep watching God always reveals the truth yall...

On 08/10/2025 at approximately 01:40 PM I was standing next to a machine I had full intent to use when another member came from across the room and plopped their stuff down without acknowledging me. I addressed this respectfully before she took a seat and said to her that I'm getting on this for just one set. Her response was that I can do it when she is done. I addressed this poor social behavior, and I was told I was making a big deal about it. I attempted to follow protocol by asking staff to address this behavior, this staff in turn enlisted a manager. Some other member (who did not witness the exchange) then started being verbally abusive by telling the staff that if I was a mature adult I would have just used another machine. The manager backed them up and said that since I wasn't using it yet, she can go ahead and use it. This contraindicates basic gym etiquette as well as principles of first come first serve, communication, intent, and quite frankly, simple respect. Anytime I have ever seen someone that close to a machine I always ask if they have intent to use it. I called the manager after leaving the gym to have an objective conversation and was told waiting for a machine is an expectation, and she was also a female, as if that meant I have to wait longer to use machines if any female approaches? To all prospective members - be wary as basic gym etiquette doesn't seem to be a thing, and expecting respect seems to get you gaslit. This is very concerning that this kind of behavior goes unchecked this day and age. Both members were very inappropriate, disrespectful, and were not held accountable by staff who presented as wanting to curry favor with females. What should also be considered is that when I called another planet fitness and explained the situation to them, the staff said they would have told the other member to be more considerate. I don’t go to PF but my husband and daughter do. They only transferred to PF because the hours are better than our previous gym. The reason for 3 stars. However, they have complained way too many times of people going in, taking multiple machines at one time and to make matters worse, they take 15-20 minute breaks in between each rep and sit on the machines while they’re playing on social media. How is this allowed? GET IT TOGETHER PLANET FITNESS!!! There is no way anyone should be aloud to take over multiple machines. This is not their personal home gym. And to sit and look through your phone for 15 minutes or more while other people would just like to get their work out done and keep it moving. Some of us work, families, obligations, oh and a life!!! We don’t have 3, 4, 5 hours to be at the gym waiting for people who are just there playing around. We pay for our memberships just as they do. You need to have staff that will walk around and put a stop to this nonsense! Someone literally walked up to my husband to tell him he had to put his bag in a locker but you allow people to just chill on machines that other people would like to make use of, while they scroll through their phones??? And don’t even get me started with people who have to record themselves and get pissed of God forbid someone walks through their video. PF…you need better rules and regulations!!! All this crap about “We are not a gym” and sounding a lunk alarm. What you need to do is make sure your GYM is a place people can go in and get their work...
