I had to go here recently in the early AM to buy necessary Easter basket items. I never shop at Target anymore because I do not care for the experience these days. I currently favor my small local grocery store, Aldi and Costco or Sam's. The other day my cart was FULL so I was not going to do self-checkout. I waited in line for the only open cashier with only 3 people ahead of me for 30 minutes. As I waited, the line behind me grew to probably ten people. The line on only open side of self-checkout was insane as well. I'm super patient and cannot fault the older cashier who was doing her best. But, seeing tons of sad employees slowly meandering around with devices and pushing empty pickup carts shopping for pick-up orders was annoying. Nobody was ever called up to help and those in line were never acknowledged. It's like Target does not actually want anyone to shop in the store. Shelves are so empty. There is no service. I'd place a drive-up order but half of the time they can't find what I want. This is sad. It seems to me nearly every aisle is blocked with pallets and employees stocking freezers and shelves. Employees are literally everywhere stocking shelves and trying to act invisible instead of working the checkout and making customers feel important. The store is now a beautiful (if you can see behind the pallets) self-serve warehouse. It seems as though the visual merchandising has been amped up at the expense of service and convenience. I totally realize that the shortage of good workers is real. But, I also feel that good people do not want to work part-time junky hours. Bring back the full-time overnight stocking jobs with benefits that you once had. Bring back training to help employees interact with customers. Everyone working should know how to work a register. Call people to work up front at rush times. The store was once always clean and well stocked. Employees were once so professional and service minded. ...
Read moreI really want to give a shout out of appreciation to Sean. I was shopping at Target yesterday, got what I needed and left. Later that night I looked in my purse and could not find my credit card, I was frantic. I ran back to Target and Sean from security came and began to help. He covered all bases, he looked at the check out area I had been in, asking just the right questions. He wondered if I had the receipt so he could pinpoint the camera views-- I did but not have it on me so he told me he would be working the next day and the time he would start. I searched the whole night for my card....when I ran back the next day looking for him I told him that I had found my card just that morning. But what Sean had done in the meantime, is forge such trust between myself and Target. He was amazing. He knew what he was doing and how to handle the situation. Because of this, I had to let him know in person how important that was to me, and how it increased my sense of appreciation with Target knowing the wonderful people that worked there. I asked his permission to write a review the next day. In the end, everything is about relationship with who we are together. Thank you again, Sean! And thank you Target for hiring people that can...
Read moreSaw a online deal when I was shopping in store: spend $50 save $10 on grocery when I scanned using the target app. Not a instore deal but since I was already there and had all the items, they should have honored it as this is still a target deal found on the target app, espicially due to other situations that makes it unideal for the customer. Since they were perishables, it means all those items I found would have to be defected out according to policy which makes target lose money in this situation if the customer does not buy it (which I didn't as they wouldn't honor the deal). Not only that but many of the items were said to not be in stock in store even though they were clearly in stock seeing as I was able to find them in abundance. (No avocado left? There's a stack of them in the store) so you wouldn't have been able to add them to your order in the first place. And the fridges were also full at the time so I wouldn't have been able to order those items in the first place. All this over $10. Losing 50-60 over not giving 10 sounds ridiculous. It's also not as though I never use the services either but saw the deal when I was checking out. Not being flexible in a situation that benefits the store just sounds like bad...
