This is an amazing craft store. The prices are excellent. Several items are always 50 to 80% off. The West St. Paul store is about the largest hobby lobby that I've been to. Maple Grove also has a very nice hobby lobby store. Their holiday section is endless and the prices are the best. I found that Hobby Lobby is far better than Michael's. However, they are not open on Sundays. This is apparently against their beliefs. Which is fine with me. Monday through Saturday hours should be enough to be able to get what you need. The store also has an amazing selection of gift items, a huge sewing department, furniture and frames. Frames. They have lamps and an endless assortment of home accessories. The employees are very friendly and conscientious. They always wrap your fragile items and seem to be very patient and thorough. The store is a pleasure to shop at. And they have a large selection of religious types of items. Every time I go I usually just grab a tote, but I always end up going back to the front of the store and trading the tote in for a cart. Beware, once you go there you'll be hooked! Even if you're not into crafting, it's a great place to go to furnish your home and purchase gift items. They have a floral selection and so many other items that you need to just go there and see it...
Read moreI really wish I could give this location a 0!! Management is very poor and rude. This is the third time this month that I came and the manager did not want to help me or even engage with me and or was just flat out rude!! This time the manager Eric on tonight made a rude comment about me teaching my toddler to be quiet while in public! Anyone with a toddler knows toddlers have meltdowns, cry and scream, but in this case mines were excited about what they were seeing on the shelves and apparently spoke too loudly for the manager who was in the same aisle. He came to my toddler who was with my oldest son who had been following me as I was going to another aisle to tell him to use his inside voice instead of coming to speak to me the parent about my son talking too loud for his liking! And when asked why he didn't say anything to me, his response was "aren't you going to teach him to not be loud while in public?". He wasn't that loud to begin with for him to be bothered! I'm not sure what's going on, but the managers seem to be bothered every time I come here. I came just last week for that same toddler for party supplies, except I was alone and had to ask someone else for help after asking the manager for help after he brushed me off! My family and I will probably never step in any...
Read moreThe store is spacious, always put together, smells good. Have found craft items to be reasonably priced But...I would not trust this store to frame a valuable picture beyond placing a paper poster into a frame. Took two pictures there to be cut and placed in a pre-fab frame. The edges of the first picture looked as if it was creased and torn off. The second picture, the associate left a 1/2 inch visible border on 3 sides of the picture! After going back and forth with the managers on this, they agreed to completely cut off the border and mount the mounted picture onto a black tag board without the plexy that would cover it because that was cut too small. My suggestion that they presented as their own. Looking at the picture hanging on my wall, it is now pulling away from the tagboard! Now I have to figure out a way to secure it without removing it from the 3M wall mounts. The managers were quite nasty at having to fix their mistake. I will stick to buying supples and doing my own projects or pay a...
