First negative experience with a Culver’s location.
Ordered 12 chicken strips (8 piece and a 4 piece), and after waiting over 10 minutes for the order we checked the bag to see only 2 ranch sauces. I’m used to waiting at Culver’s and we go when we can as it’s not the cheapest, but we enjoy it.
However, after stopping inside to ask for more sauce I was told only two sauces are allowed per order and if we want more we would need to pay 50 cents more per sauce. Our order was $27 for an 8 piece basket (small fries + drink) and a 4 piece strip. I let the employee know we had already waited 10 minutes and I have never paid extra for ranch. She seemed very disinterested and said “sorry” but nothing else. I just walked out after since there was no apparent resolution or other response.
Does Culver’s now as a standard charge extra for sauce? Do they only give 2 per order no matter how much you spend or how much you ordered? Like I said I’ve never had a bad experience, it may be expensive and you may have to wait but it’s usually worth it for the stellar service. Unfortunately for this location they did not exemplify that service and extra charges for an already expensive meal.
I give the service and atmosphere 1 star and food as well because I’ve never paid extra/haven’t had enough sauce for a meal.
Edit: Response from owner does not indicate if the standard is now charging extra for sauce, however after visiting another Culver’s they gave me extra sauce after hearing my experience and explained I was given less than they usually give for what was ordered. They explained they would not charge extra unless a customer asked for a large amount. Glad that Culver’s is still good in general, now just avoiding...
Read moreI went thru the drive thru ordered a kids meal and a chicken basket. During my ordering the gal told me that the ice cream machine was down. I said ok, will I get an ice cream then another time? I asked if it was possible to get an extra small fry vs the ice cream? With gas prices going up I’d rather skip out then returning. The guy said no you can’t. I said ok I understand, upon paying i asked the guy at the window if I would have a coupon for the ice cream? He said “owell it’s already on the bag”. I said oh you mean the free scoop you get anyways. He said yes. I then asked if I could get a managers name so I could call tomorrow to discuss my Concerns. This lady came up to the window very rudely and said “what’s you problem”? I explained how I felt cheated and that all I asked for was an extra kids fry since the ice cream was done for the night. She was so unprofessional and so rude saying that I wasn’t missing out on anything. The way she handled the situation was really rude. She suddenly slammed the windows shut and opened it a min later and handed me fry’s and said just take the fry’s. I noticed when I received the food that she or someone else ripped off one of the coupons on the kids meal bag. I took Pictures of the bag and of my receipts to show time records. I bet if someone looks at the camera you can see it happen, because it’s definitely gone. I never received any straws for either beverages. I will be calling in to tomorrow as my experience he was very Poor. I will start yo go to another location...
Read moreNever had a bad experience at Culver’s until tonight. If it’s down-pouring outside…… or raining / snowing: SKIP!!! If you have your customers pulling out into the lot to wait while it’s absolutely down pouring outside, maybe it might be a good idea to invest in an umbrella of some kind for the kid who brings it out.
My ice cream out in their standard wide open container. Karen? No. But that’s asinine. Boggles my mind. Be it a lid… some kind of umbrella situation going on for the delivery kid. You’d think that’s just common sense.
Of course you can argue that it’s absolutely on me for getting ice cream at a drive through while it’s pouring rain. I can argue it did not even cross my mind that my ice cream wouldn’t be handed out through the window or have a lid on it……
(No hate to any employee wsp Culver’s. Simply just constructive criticism with various option to solve. Nobody wants a literal puddle on top of their $& cup concrete mixer nor soggy cheese curds I’m looking at now as I got home. Drive through window to car window for a quick snatch is certainly different than a kid who’s ready to go home and is walking slowly through the down pour with your dinner & dessert in hand. No umbrella or lids. A solid 45 seconds of rain accumulating on top of ice cream and through the bag. No regard at all.
Sorry but you cannot convince me there’s no way around this or that this is acceptable.Especially with the price point...
