This was my first experience purchasing anything from this store because I live in Worcester & Westborough is a bit of a hike for me. However, they advertised these surprise bags on their FB page & it seemed like a very cool idea. The surprise bags promotion was that you paid $25 and the store picked what went in the nicely wrapped bag (it’s a total surprise for both the person purchasing it & the person receiving it). All I had to do was provide the age & gender of the children. I purchased 3 of these surprise bags, 1 for my son & 1 for each of my son’s 2 childcare provider’s kids as an end of the school year surprise. I would have given this store 5 stars except I wasn’t thrilled with my experience when I called in my order over the phone. The person made me feel like I was disturbing/interrupting her by calling & rushed me off the phone. However, that was the only negative aspect of my experience. I had my son’s father (who lives a tad closer to Westborough- he lives in Millbury) pick up the bags and he advised me that the process to pick up the bags as easy and seem less which he appreciated. All 3 kids opened their surprise bags together today and the childcare provider informed me that all the kids loved the gifts that were inside the bags. I think these surprise bags are an amazing idea and the staff did a great job ensuring that the bags were a hit with the kids. I would suggest adding this option/promotion to your online/website ordering system so that if an employee is busy or having a rough day the customer doesn’t have to feel the impact of that; they can just order it online at...

LE westborough is an absolute joke. I’m home from college on break and my roommate and i called and asked if they had any of the 8” pink cow in stock and they said they had a bunch. She drove 55 minutes there and as soon as she got there was told they were already all sold out and there was nothing they could do after refusing a hold over the phone but doing it for people with a large following and others who do promotions for them 🙂

Just to find out someone that went at open this morning was able to purchase an 8” cayden as well as a few others than went. My roommate and i called to be told that it was just out of luck and they got to decide who was able to purchase the cows and who wasn’t. The are NOTORIOUS for picking favorites and doing favors for people who have large followings. They told several people over the phone that they just choose who is “lucky” and can purchase a cow.

I wonder if i had 50k and promised them a promo that i would’ve been able to...

Pros: This place has a nice selection of toys and offers free gift wrapping.

Cons: They charge a premium for their toys. Sometimes to the tune of double what you can elsewhere.

The biggest issue, though, is how they have recently begun handling the demand for Squishmallows. They pathologically lie to customers, to the point that they can’t even get their own story straight. They will tell you they are sold out of an item that they will sell to someone else 5 minutes after you leave. They hide product in the back room and will only bring it out for certain people. Sometimes products will be hidden for days or weeks.

It’s embarrassing to behold.
