Disappointing Visit - Focus Needed on Sanitation and rude staff. Looks like it's come time to find another patch. This has been an annual family tradition for over 15 years. This year was truly a let down. We were excited to visit the pumpkin patch this week, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing to a say the least. I'll just point out 2 reasons I won't be bringing my family back next year. Our main issues were the poor attention to facility maintenance and the unprofessional conduct of a few of the ride attendants.
First, the restrooms were in an unsanitary and frankly, disgusting condition. For a family-oriented venue, basic hygiene standards should be a top priority, and these were far below an acceptable level. You know there's a problem when your 3 year old has a disgusted look on her face and asks if its safe to use the restroom, and you really can't give her a straight answer? Second, a few of ride attendants had the inability to follow their own posted rules. staff interaction was a major letdown. It appeared that teens were largely unsupervised and "running the rides". They would point out the "No single riders" rule, but the very next group of riders had 2 solo riders. So after watching them do this on and off all night. It became obvious that they were playing favorites with whomever they chose to allow to ride solo. They made it quite obvious that they lacked any customer service skills, and were not properly managing the activities. This is not the level of service one expects when your spending $250 to entertain the family for a few hours. While the selection of pumpkins was fine, the overpriced food, the per ride ticket cost, ride attendant attitudes and the overall lack of attention to basic operational standards like cleanliness and proper staffing means we will not be returning and will no longer be recommending this pumpkin patch to others. We hope management addresses these significant issues for...
ย ย ย Read moreFantatstic. Absolutely incredible. Incredible pumpkins, an incredible experience. I come in here every day and I can't wait to come again, when I sleep at night it is the last thought in my head. I'm there right now enjoying the shop as I write this review, in The Pumpkin Factory at Westminster Mall. I don't want to leave. It's my favourite. I'm staying inside, I can't leave this Pumpkin Factory behind me. I'll find a really big pumpkin, and hide inside of it. Then I'll be able to stay forever, they will never find me. I think I should climb inside of one now and seal it from the inside.
I'm inside, this is such a lively, warm and ripe pumpkin. It was a fantastic choice to climb in. It's so comfy inside of its organic, fleshy fabric, I am inside the orange womb waiting to be birthed again. Please try not to buy the pumpkin I am inside if you come here. Please don't. I can feel it sustaining me, it is a mother nursing its pumpkin child and feeding me up - she has a mind of her own. But I will not be leaving in 9 months like I did with my own mother; I will not betray her like that. I will enjoy this pumpkin womb for the rest of time. And if someone does buy this special crevice I have made for myself, if someone buys her, and tries to carve her up - I wouldn't advise it. It's so wet in here and sticky. It gives me life, I can feel myself getting younger and vegetating more and more, my skin turning orange and ripe and ripe and ripe and ripe and ripe and ripe and ripe and ripe
I'm not the man I was when I entered The Pumpkin Factory at Westminster Mall. I've become her. The Pumpkin womb and I are the same now. The pumpkin factory has birthed me anew. The concepts of 'Pumpkin' and 'Human' have bled into each other. I'm so happy inside. I'm so so happy inside of this womb.
I'm waiting for you to come and buy me. I'm...
ย ย ย Read moreMy family and I were having such a great time during the first few hours. My daughters loved the rides and games that were offered at this event. A few hours go by and my child with special needs got really overstimulated and started crying. Normally it does not take her much to get overstimulated but yesterday was one of those days for her. We went to the nearest area that was not packed, which happened to be a booth that was out of service that an acquaintance was working at. We decided to rest for a bit until my daughter, sent my husband to grab some snacks and water. As soon as she was all better and ready to go, this advisor, who was wearing glasses and all back came and told us we cannot be at the area and scolded us with a nasty attitude. She was talking to my husband and I, ages 28 & 27, as if we were teenagers causing ruckus. Or at least itโs how we felt like it was. This left us disheartened and led to the impression that this did not feel like a safe place for my child with special needs. Safe to say that we will not attending this event again which sucks because we really enjoyed it, but this is something I would not want to...
