Update: They refilled and recut the setting, and it looked much better. Also didn’t charge me and apologized, so moving this up to 3 stars.

Here’s the deal: I dropped of a wedding ring with a small missing stone on Dec 14, 2024 No one called me for weeks, so I followed up 3 separate times for an update Called again a week ago to say it’s almost been 2 months, when will it be ready, they said it would be ready the next day went to pick it up a couple days later, and the ring looked horrible. like someone took a grinder to the setting and put 1/8 the size of a diamond together that I could barely even see with a magnifying glass. star setting was completely botched told them it doesn’t look good, they said they’d check with Renato and call me back tomorrow. they didn’t, I had to call them before closing Renato said the person who does the star setting is in Italy for another week and can take a look at it then, so still no idea if this is going to be fixed or not

Why was the ring even attempted to give back to me in that state? Why wasn’t the person who can do the setting used in the first place? Why has it been 2 months since dropping it off? If they couldn’t fix it, why even attempt or why not call me first?

So many questions, and now i’m faced with either taking the damaged ring to another jeweler to fix (for whatever that will cost), or wait and risk it being “fixed” here again.

Really a bummer, they were very sweet when I dropped off the ring but didn’t realize the whole experience would be this horrible.

I sincerely hope it’s fixed and I can move...

My jeweler for life! Renato’s designed a custom wedding ring and band for me last year. Truly the ring of my dreams! He did such a fantastic job and was very transparent about different diamond options, pricing and educated us along the way. Only took a few weeks too. I felt very confident throughout the entire process. I would have never been able to get such a beautiful ring anywhere else honestly! He went above my expectations! I constantly get complements on my ring. I go back for regularly for cleanings and checks and Renato’s always does a great job. I am about to design a second band with them in the next few months. I had two rings that needed to be resized for my wife. One was a ring I just bought that I chose the wrong size. Work of advise, never guess😁. The other was my grandmothers wedding ring the was about 4 sizes smaller then my wife’s finger. I brought it to Renato’s to see what they could do, my grandmothers was brought up to the rights size with ZERO evidence that work have been done on it. It looked incredible.
