Had an amazing experience at the Westport HomeGoods today. By far the best HomeGoods in CT with the best selection. Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to help me. I had 3 large paintings in my shopping cart and as I was exiting an aisle, I accidentally bumped into the corner of a painting which then tipped and knocked over a tree lol. I was so mortified I felt so terrible and two employees came up and were so kind and reassuring even though I was turning red and so mortified. Rafael offered to take my cart and bring it up to the front for me and I said no no it’s okay many times but he insisted and was very kind. I then went to checkout and the cashier Delilah was also so kind and friendly. They both went out of their way when they really didn’t have to, to be friendly and helpful and over the top so nice. Rafael then offered to bring my cart to my car and help me unload my large paintings. It took me many times of telling him no it’s okay you’ve been so helpful enough for him to let me go without his help. I never write reviews, literally ever, but they gave me such a great experience I had to share. I manage a business in a service industry where customer service is very important and after this experience I strive to find employees who are so kind and go the extra mile like Rafael and Delilah did tonight. I’m sure all of the other employees are...
Read moreI really like home goods cause of the reasonable prices and nice selection. This location doesn't seem to have a manager around nor is the staff professional, unlike bed bath and beyond or marshalls. I did not care for the treatment I received the other night. Although the gentlemen in the white t-shirt was very nice and helpful. The person with pink hair was also nice but did not pay attention at the register. The cashier I had was terrible. He threw the receipt at me didn't even bother putting my item in a bag. No smile and no emotion whatsoever. I might just call corporate and complain. He was extremely rude and judgemental. You could obviously tell that he did not want to be there and was inobviously blaming me. The other person at the register was also being rude. All three of them were talking about very personal things not really the topic of discussion at a department store. I realized why I stopped going here: bad customer service. You are better off going to TJ Maxx or Marshalls. The prices might be a little more but the customer service is always great. I intend to call and complain but I really do believe management will do nothing to satisfy...
Read moreI went in there to buy a couple things for my house, bought some stuff and left. 20 minutes later I realized I forgot something I bought. I went back and said I forgot something I paid for, the lady helping me was super nice and went to look for it. She came back and told me she couldn’t find it. I said ok, well ask the guy that rang me up, what he did with it. He said I put it back, I thought you didn’t want it. Ok if I didn’t want it, I would have said I didn’t want it. I wouldn’t have paid $30 for something to not take it home with me. And then only to find out, the thing I PAID for was in someone else’s cart. The second girl who brought it back to me was terribly rude and didn’t say anything to me once I thanked her and got it from her. Employees need to use their head and have some common sense. Poor...
