In our household, we love trying new pizza restaurants. Additionally, we love Mexican food. By extension, we decided to try this twist on Mexican/pizza (I think that's what it is). Usually, I like to keep it simple and try a plain cheese/half pepperoni pie to judge the quality of the pizza; however, when I see a Birria and Al Pastor pie option, that's tough to overlook. Both pies were replete with meat, so I appreciated that. I've had the same pies at other restaurants where the chefs were pretty stingy with the toppings — but not at EdsFusion! OHHH, I also love that they give you an entire Consomé(I hope that's what it's called; my girlfriend upbraids me every time I get it incorrect) to dip your slices in; this was a pleasant, tasty surprise. The Birria had a blast of flavor in every bite. It was the perfect balance of cheese and sauce as well, 5/5. Unfortunately, the Al Pastor wasn't as tasty to me. The pork seemed slightly off, but luckily, the pizza's pineapple, cheese, and sauce picked up the slack to let me still enjoy it, 3/5. I've had Magic 5 Pie Co's Al Pastor pizza, and theirs is hands down the best I've tasted so far, and it's usually my barometer. The meatballs are the ideal size for meatballs, mainly if they are used as an appetizer. They were full of tomato sauce and the right amount of parmesan cheese. Sadly, they lacked a lot of that "homemade" taste to me; they were, shall I say, bland. Luckily, I have about four bottles of Mike Hot Honey in my cabinet, so that salvaged the meatballs. Also, I think they dropped the ball on the garlic knots. They were slightly rough rather than chewy/gooey and had no strong garlicky/parmesan flavor. That's just my preference when having garlic knots. However, I can't complain about the serving size.
Overall, I will return and try some standard pies and other entrees. The customer service was phenomenal; they closed in about 35 minutes when I placed the order, but still, they took it with alacrity. I've been met with pushback at other restaurants for ordering an hour before closing, so I truly appreciate receiving pleasant customer service since there is a shortage of that these days (eye roll).
Oh, this place is priced exceptionally reasonably for the portions given. We only spent $50 and had plenty of leftovers. Easily $85+ at other restaurants for the same dishes.
Also, my girl thought everything was delicious, but my tastebuds are a little more refined than...
Read moreED's FUSION is located where GOLDEN PIZZA use to be. A menu that will impress all GASTRONOMES. Everything you want from one restaurant is truly convenient. Pizza, tacos, pasta, patties, sandwiches, burgers, seafood. Thin crust pizza with a big selection of toppings. Street tacos as well as TEX Mex tacos loaded with flavor! Burritos, Mexican entrees, smoothies etc. Since it was my 1st visit I chose a Carne Asada Street taco & a steak burrito. How well a restaurant prepares it's meats determines whether or not I will return. Great burrito, my photo only shows 1/2 of the burrito. The flavors were well incorporated into the burrito and the meat was cooked to perfection. The spices were mild and the French fries that came with the burrito were delicious and very little salt. All 3 items had less salt than most Mexican cuisine. I will be back to try other items on his biblical size menu and I will edit my review accordingly. I do hope you give ED'S FUSION a try. There is plenty to choose from for everyone! Well the meat was cooked to perfection the spices were bouncing all over my mouth especially my tongue. I will now tell y'all about the 24" inch pizza I purchased with pepperoni & sauteed green peppers. The dough, cheese, toppings are absolutely outstanding. The right amount of cheese and just enough sauce for me. The slices are HUMONGOUS! However you can have the restaurant slice it 2 or three times. The pizza can be a 8-24 slice pizza. Two slices are the equivalent of 4 and so on. This pie was so large I had to put it in the trunk to bring it home. Highly recommend! You can get mini pies, 6 & 8 slice pies as well. I chose the stadium pie because, "hey, you never know when that pizza crave is gonna hit no matter what time of day it is, 3am works for me! I have never been served a cheeseburger more delicious and cooked to perfection than the one I ate on 8.18.24 at 3:00. The size, condiments and flavor one can die for. Medium rare JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. Great burger with fries and a soda for $15 including tax! Excellent! Don't miss out! Order a burger as well as ED's Fusion's other OUTSTANDING menu items. Seriously, the best burger in a very long time. Having one of ED's burgers once a week will suit me fine. I will not have to ask myself, one day a week, "What's for dinner?". Great...
Read moreWe had impromptu guests on Saturday for lunch, and Ed’s Fusion saved me. A half tray of tacos - mix of carnitas and chicken - and a family size Sherwood Salad. Perfect amount for 2 teens and 4 adults. Sooo delicious, fresh and fast. Highly recommend!
Adding to my review as I ordered again on Sunday to feed a group of 11 (4 teens, 7 adults). Ed’s did not disappoint! Half tray of chicken parm (so delicious), half tray of chicken francese (light, lemony, a beautiful balance to the rest of my order), 25 pizza knots (think garlic knits with delicious marinara dipping sauce), a dozen Mamma’s meatballs (my guests literally could not stop talking about how these were the best meatballs they’d ever had, ever), and of course a family size Sherwood salad (because that is my fave).
I called at 11 AM and they were ready for me to pick up at 11:45. They had it packaged so carefully and even helped to put it in my car. They gave me reheating instructions since I wasn’t going to be serving it for a few hours. And they even checked on me the next day to make sure we were pleased with our order. And lucky for me, we had plenty of leftovers, which means I don’t need to cook dinner the next couple of nights!
Very happy customer. They can count on my...
