Yuki Kitchen — Local services in Westport

I am always suspicious of places that don’t focus on one cuisine but we have ordered twice now from Yuki Kitchen and have been impressed by the authenticity of the menu. We ordered Simmered Shitake mushrooms, Lucky Pink Radish, and smashed spicy cucumbers and all were amazing. We also ordered Yaya Balls which are deep fried octopus. My son had them in Japan on a visit a few weeks ago and said they tasted just as good. He was also excited to see a brand of iced tea he had in Japan. I got the lunch special chicken Katsu curry with a fried egg, white rice, and vegetables.(broccoli and a sliced red vegetable (I think) that stained the white rice, I’m not sure of the name) The broccoli was served cold, pretty crazy but I was cool with it. The curry was kinda spicy but not too overpowering and the chicken was your standard grilled chicken, not much seasoning from the chicken. They skimped me on the potatoes and carrots only giving me 1 of each, again kinda crazy but I was cool with it....

Ordered soup dumplings, tall yaki, and a bibimbap no tofu/sub beef. The dumplings had no soup inside; mostly juice from the pork. Although good tasting. Talk yaki was not too hot, and hence why it probably was okay. The bibimbap order was all wrong; tofu was not substituted. It was my first time ordering, not a the best experience.
