How can you not root for PopUp Bagels… follow them on LinkedIn, Insta and they are literally popping up just about everywhere and the rest of the country gets to share in on what was a CT start up. Adam is great, I actually messed up big time last winter. It was very late at night and I remembered that my son requested PopUp Bagels for the ride up to go snowboarding the next morning. It was a great idea, perfect eats for the car ride but I was on my phone right before going to bed, placing the order and completely fell asleep before I hit the submit button. When I got up at 6am the next morning. I realized the order never went through. I emailed the general contact mailbox on the PopUp Bagel website and Adam told me to call him. It was literally 6:15am. He said no worries, sleep happens, asked me when we were heading up to the mountain and when wanted to pick up my order and yeah, I think that deserves 10 stars for service! And as far as the bagels and creative schemers go, absolutely unmatched!! Hey Adam, bring back the pink peppercorn cream cheese, I will buy it all!...

Would have gladly paid that if the cream cheese was unique and super tasty. Again the caramelized onion cream cheese……blah. But the icing on the cake was the AWFUL service. Asked if they could put the cream cheese on one bagel , nope. Could you please slice the bagel, nope, we don’t slice. Last in desperation, can I slice it? Sure, and pointed to some plastic knives and a cutting board, or so I thought. Someone came out and snarled at me, you are cutting your bagel on my computer. Wooops looked like a cutting board and who would leave a computer on a counter???? Was told this is a grab and go ONLY. So I grabbed and went and ended up throwing the doughy uncooked bland bagel out the window. Gave the other 2 to the dog but he wouldn't eat...
Read moreI heard about Popup Bagels from videos that went viral and had to try them to determine for myself if they were worth the hype. I placed an order online for a mixed dozen and two schmears (cinnamon brown sugar butter and scallion cream cheese). The order came out to be almost $45.
The bagels were decently sized, and each schmear came in a large container. I spread them sparingly to make sure I had enough for each bagel, and I would say it was just enough for all of them. My verdict is that these were good bagels but not as mind-blowing as I expected them to be. I liked the everything and poppy seed bagels the most. Both the schmears were good, but the cinnamon brown sugar butter was heavenly. To be honest, I don't think these bagels were worth the price, but I would go back just for the cinnamon brown sugar...
