Michaels — Local services in Wheeling Township

I never go to Michael's, I went last weekend on Saturday for one balloon at Michael's in Mt. Prospect. I was waiting to pay in line then when it was my turn the manager working the register was rude and said I can step over to self-checkout and gave me a bad look. I paid at self-checkout and the employee working self-checkout grabbed my balloon and gave it to the manager that refused to ring me up and told me to go to self-checkout. The manager was with another employee filling 20 balloons and I heard the employee tell the manager shouldn't we fill her balloon it's just one and then I heard the manger tell the employee she didn't care that I was waiting I could wait. I didn't like that she was purposely making me wait to fill my one balloon and talking bad in front of me and other customers. I asked the other employee working self-checkout if she could fill my one balloon as it was not fair I had to wait for 20 balloons to be filled while I only had one. She went to add air to the balloon and the manager intervened and told her no I will have to wait! I felt so bad for the employee she was embarrassed because of the manager's rude behavior. The manager was condescending and unbelievably rude. I really hope management takes a look at her behavior. She treats the employees and customers like garbage. She must have many complaints. Never shopping at Michael's again....

Went in on Friday 9/9 to look around - I found Shotbox background packs on clearance from $9.99 to $3. There were about 30 packs that had the clearance sticker stating they were $3 each, I took two pcks to purchase. Went up to pay and was checked out by cashier Kristin (I think that was her name) - the cashier scanned the packs which rang for full price so I showed her the clearance sticker. The cashier just stared at me annoyed and said that that was not the correct price. I told her there were about 30 packs in the clearance section with the $3 price. She proceeded to get the RF gun to scan the item and says that they were marked incorrectly. She asked if I still wanted them so I told her yes, for the marked $3. She said absolutely not bcs these two were marked down by mistake... I continued to explain to her that there were a ton with the clearance price and she interrupt me and said she couldn't sell them to me. I asked if I could see a manager and she said they were going to tell me the same thing and they would not sell the product for the advertised price. I decided not to argue with someone over $3 dollars. Unfortunately this was not the first time the staff at this particular location have been rude...

I'm telling everyone that the Wednesday staff of Michael's was perfect. I wanted to send them a pizza but, they were closed. Absolutely superb 👌 job by the framing man. Anything I asked, he answered. I just had a wonderful time working with someone who had a brain.

It's unfortunate that today came with a total lackluster crew. I had a stroke and am doing art projects to get better. What's the excuse for curly airhead? It felt like she wanted me out rather than help me. The only person who was able to give kind assistance, in any way, shape or form was a lady who let me use her phone 📱 to call my boyfriend to send for an Uber.

I'm currently working on a project where you get a mirror and write in calligraphy, gold, a poem about a smile 😃.
