I gave them my PC, when all lights worked, one fan was burned out on my cooler, my Mobo was messed up somehow. He said Maybe Magnet I was pretty sure bios just needed new firmware, because it worked then tuned off and then wouldn't boot only black screen, somehow he fried the thing.
He has an intel Processor adapter that looks old, so he accidentally put that on instead of mine. I still have my original Intel adapter, because I had the AMD attached.
He man man-handeled it, got themopaste in the pins and pin holes. I don't believe he know much about Computes, hardware or software. I could run a better PC Shop. I'm about to get a LLC and a webpage, I'lll edit and add it.
First had my PC for 3 months trying to figure it out. At that point I wish I had just done it myself. I was busy and have ADHD so it was hard to stay focused on taking aprt and rebuilding and diagnosis. I'm almost certain it just need to be flashed with new MOBO firmware. I didn't want to deal with it, a hundred buck or 200 wast a problem. It turned on when I gave it to him.
Apparently I was told he couldn't get it on, everything was fried.
So he replaced the MOBO with another cheaper brand, not nearly what I wanted, he could have got the same one. Then instead of replacing the fan he changed to cooler out completely and took it, now he has it to just put a new fan in and I got stuck with a new liquid cooler that is Corsair, I had an Enermax, the best one they offer, and did a lot of research on energy use and fan airflow, also I did read the fans burn out, but I figured that's OK because it an easy fix, the Chassis is what I really wanted, and found specs on the pump and how quiet it was and how well it cooled. Only problems with the Enermax is the fans can be loud after a while, and can burn out.
Also my case has 3 fans in the front, one in the back. He opted for the fans being parallel. He does not have the front two PC fans lighting up only one so it loos like crap.
Now he had that Enermax and will have a free chassis to put on another (it was brand new, maybe 40 hours of use tops),
IT GETS WORSE
He replaced my Processor from a Ryzen 9 3800xt to a Ryzen 7 5800x. Enough said. He tried to keep my motherboard and processor attached still. Processor works fine. He wanted that processor. So not I have a PC that only the Case Power supply and GPU and Ram is what I wanted,
I do have just a 6700xt MSI GPU. Obviously I choose that processor not only to game with.
I feel like I don't have "My PC" he choose parts without asking me, gave me an estimate, I said OK fine, paid half, only reason I did was because he said he couldn't get anything working, or figure out what was going on. I paid over $1650 for the service that took 3 months. Got my PC back, with a processor not even close to as powerful. Worked fine, now fans don't light up that are the case fans. No idea why he didn't figure that out, I did. Cheapest Cooler possible, but Corsair name so looks like expensive and good.
I couldn't find the thumb screws for the glass, he said he would get them, did not try. I got them easily for a few buck. He did not hook the fans up correctly, a wire is just laying and sticking out in middle of the case. He was suppose to attach that to the other Fan Wires and plus them all into one port, it could be done through two, I had it that way.
I had to rewire myself to get all the front fans working.
Fact is, this is not my PC. I had all MSI stuff except the liquid cooler for CPU because MSI charges way too much/Not that good. I support enermax, the pump and radiator are great, look cool, fans good very good.
Did he get my PC mixed up with another? 3 months. Talked about how he needed money bad, so not surprised I was scammed. He broke, stole, charged 1700 for 3 months waiting for 500 worth of parts, really like 400 with what he stole. 400+ processor he broke. Maybe he did that hoping i'd let him recycle it, he wanted me to.
I'll edit if things are made right. I own a tech company looks like im branching out to PC repairs/builds. Add new...
Read moreMy laptop is a little older and was having issues. My daughter was using it for her schooling. I couldn’t really afford a new one at the time so I really needed it fixed fast so she could finish her work. I know very little about computers so I looked into where I could take it. One of the places I called recommended 1 Stop Computer Shop to me. I called and Brian was able to get me in the same day to take a look and do a free diagnostic on it. It was the hard drive and he replaced it quickly and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg either. It works perfectly now just like brand new and has zero issues.
The next week I bought a gaming desktop from a pawn shop. (Yes I realize that I should have not). From day one I was having BSOD’s and all kinds of errors. I took it up to Brian and he did all kinds of tests and software resets. He did everything he could without charging me a ton of money. Every time I brought it home it would work for a couple hours and then crash again. So I’d bring it back. We repeated this cycle for 3 weeks.
This thing is a beast and someone custom build so it was really hard to narrow down what component was wrong. After all the software was changed and updated and we completely wiped it and reinstalled windows, it still was doing the same errors and blue screens. So at this point he knew it was something hardware that was going bad.
Finally, he came to the conclusion that my motherboard was bad. He suggested the one that I needed and I drove and got one from micro center. He had everything installed and ready for me the next day. He even stayed a little late so that I could have it for the weekend.
It has been a week now and my desktop is working perfectly. I am so glad that I found this shop. They will have my...
Read moreBrian is awesome! He recently replaced the screen on my boyfriend’s smartphone. It is an LG k10, which Brian doesn’t normally work on, so he had to order the screen, which wasn’t a problem. I contacted Brian on last Saturday for information, and a quote. I gave him the ‘okay’ to order the part, it was delivered to him Monday afternoon, and by Monday evening my boyfriend was able to get to the shop, and have his phone repaired in well under an hour. I highly recommend Brian, and his shop for any of your computer, smartphone, and tech needs! He is knowledgeable, professional,...
