China House — Restaurant in White Lake Charter Township

It was too late in the evening to order from where I usually get my Chinese but I was really craving some Chinese. I did a google search and came upon this little jewel. They were open until 10:30 and are only a couple of miles away, so, I hopped in my car, and off I went.

I ordered Almond Chicken, House Lo-Mein, Pan Fried Dumplings, and a couple of Egg Rolls.

The service was fast and friendly. I got home, opened up the bag, and WOW! The portions were HUGE! As a matter of fact, I'm on my third day of eating all of these delights and I still have more left.

I just picked up 2 orders of sesame chicken with white rice. The chicken is like rubber, I’ve never tasted chicken with such an odd consistency and the rice has an odd flavor, almost like it was musty before cooked. I should have gone with my instincts and ran, when I walked through the door, and it was so filthy dirty as was the entrance. The guy just sitting there on his phone. Food was hot, fresh and good. But the portions were without a doubt small for Chinese, and a dollar or two more. I could list off 15 of these type Chinese restaurants I occasionally get food from and I have NEVER been able to eat the entire meal. 9/10 times I can only eat half and eat the other half for lunch the next day.
