Hawley Community Park — Attraction in White Lake Charter Township

The open space is nice but too little township investment is made. Covered seating is appreciated but tables are dirty. The sandbox has a good amount of toys and the community give and take library is cute. The township is bonding out $28,000,000 for a new city center. Next to Highland Pines, this park has a good sized walking and running asphalt track. I still come here despite living in Waterford now. Located next to the White Lake police station (safe), the Township offices, and right the library. It's hidden enough and away from street traffic. Nice little park to visit, that is close by! There is a paved walking path around the whole play area. Parking is gravel and not the greatest. There is also one of those free little libraries there that clearly (sadly) nobody maintains. It looks like someone took a bat to it and now it stands empty and falling apart.
