Golden Bowl House — Restaurant in White Lake Charter Township

I’m usually not want to leave a bad review over some unforeseen circumstance, but this was too much. First I wanted to try this place out because I know it was the same owner of shack attack and I know they had good food. When I ordered they said it would take 40 minutes and asked if that was OK I said yes. I showed up 50 minutes later and still had to wait another half hour, no explanation, no apology (regret leaving a tip) but whatever I got over it. Went home started eating and was when I saw a very cooked fly in my chicken fried rice. I was shocked, but not really because when I was sitting in the lobby, I noticed the place was filthy. The floors, the walls, and Dead flies and thick dust all over the window sills. I was just watching the flies go in and out since they keep the door open because I don’t think they have AC. Went in today for lunch... Door was propped open with a high chair, so no indicator that we walked in and the store was a bit of a mess.... After five minutes, no one had come up front, yet, even with us trying to politely call hello out. I peeked in the foot and a half of curtain space they had open and someone was all the way in the back with ear buds in, so i stood thinking they would see me eventually... they turned after another 5 minutes and thought they would notice us, but completely ignored the front of the store.. After a total of standing up front for fifteen minutes and no one caring enough to pay attention, we walked back out. The person I was with went in once before and had a similar situation the first time, but wanted to give them a second chance. Horrible...

Been ordering from Jenny for years since they were at snack attack. Been loyal customers and since they have been Golden Bowl they went down hill. Wait time is not accurate and when I called to inquire about our order which was over 20 minutes past time they quoted me, the daughter hung up on me!!!!! Jenny never would have done this! I understand at times they can get busy but rude to hang up on loyal customers!! She told me they ran out of egg rolls! Ok fine but when I asked why she didn’t let us know, she hung up on me Tried to contact Jenny through her daughter and was told she is too busy. I said I wasn’t happy and she said oh well!!!
