Bell's of Whitehall — Local services in Whitehall

Ordered a coffee table on June 19th and told it would be 3 weeks. Called the week of July 4th and told it was delayed a week due to holidays. Called the following week and told it was not available yet. Waited two more weeks, called and told not available yet. Called in another 2 weeks and told not available yet. Called in another 2 weeks and not available yet. Received a phone call on Sept 3 that our coffee table was in and available to pick up. On Sept. 9th drove to Belles and was told it was not put together yet and to find something to do for 15 minutes or so. Drove around and returned in 30 minutes and still not put together because they confused the names and put together another piece for a different customer. Waited in the store while the table was put together and finally left.

Total time 12 weeks when promised 3 weeks. Told the table was ready for pick up drove there and it wasn't built yet.

Poor customer service. Never had that problem...

The Italian leather couch we purchased at Bells furniture was packaged when we picked it up and we didn’t unpack it until we got to our home which was more than 500 miles away. The leather we purchased was a very light Carmel/cognac color but the couch we unpacked was very dark brown. When I spoke to “Bob”, our salesman, he tried to convince me that the company only offered this couch in one color. It’s not like we can pack it up and return it easily, we live 10 hours/ 500+ miles away. Bells/Bob never offered anything to make it right. I even would have accepted an apology, but never got any follow up. My advice would be, unpack your purchases right in front of the sales person before you leave the store. I’m never shopping...

i want to share, Bells Discount of Whitehall are a pleasure to work with. I recently purchased a new bed frame, mattress and boxsprings. A few weeks later I realized the box springs made it too high for me. i called my store contact, explained my situation. i was surprised he had a 3inch under mattress support and offered me an exchange. They delivered the same day, which was yesterday. It's perfect, right height and now even more comfortable. The Capital pillow top mattress is so comfortable it feels like it hugs your body.
