We did NOT expect the treatment received... rather, LACK thereof. We went to the store wanting to have a necklace repaired and jewelry cleaned. To our surprise, we stood around waiting to be assisted. Although an older woman looked up from the microscope she was using and said "hello" as we entered the store, that was all she said. Since she was busy, you'd think she would say something to indicate that someone if not her, will assist us shortly. Well, that wasn't the case! As an effort to get the attention of someone else (there were 3 men and 1 woman working), we decided to walk throughout the store. It worked! At least we thought it did. There was a gentleman that spoke to us and said someone will be right with us. We were patient until I heard the gentleman ask another if he would be able to assist us. It seemed like his ask was ignored the same as we were. Just when we thought it couldn't get worse, we looked up and saw all FOUR employees huddled around the register area. Meanwhile, we were STILL waiting to be tended to as there were NO other customers in the store at this time (there were ONLY TWO other people when we initially arrived). Whelp - it got WORSE! We finally decided to leave - the female employee had the NERVE to say "have a good night". SIGH - this is not what we expected from ZALES and will NEVER give the Whitehall location...

Unfortunately the experience went downhill once It came time to pick up the ring after engraving. We were notified it was ready and were not able to pick up right away. They gave a total of 10 days to pickup the ring from when it was ready. We still couldn’t make it within that time frame because my fiancé had surgery and they wouldn’t budge in letting me pick it up (she purchased with her card) or give us a few more days. We were told it was going to go back into stock and returned. Meanwhile, we had fully paid for the ring and they would not hold it for us. With the frustration of this, we decided to purchase the ring elsewhere and await a refund. A week later, we get a call saying “your ring is here awaiting pickup”! So after all of that, they didn’t return it and we could have avoided all of this. So they decided to lose a sale that was already paid for, with a “policy” that wasn’t even enforced. The “manager” of that store is a disgraceful wreck and the other employees, lack extreme training and knowledge. I reached out to Robin, the manager of the Zales at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall, Pennsylvania and she was an absolute breath of fresh air!! She is very professional, knowledgeable and kind. We booked an appointment with her to have my engagement and wedding band specifically made for me.
