Largest Goodwill Retail Store I've seen! Lots of good quality items to choose from every time I go there (even in the Plus size section). Store is clean & well stocked. Staff is friendly & knowledgeable as well. Definitely my store of choice of all the locations in Wichita. Update I have decided that I will no longer be giving any of my business or money to support this company in any way, shape, or form! Goodwill DOES NOT practice what it so openly preaches to anyone that will listen. I have personally witnessed how they provide "hand ups" to their mentally disabled and/or employment challenged employees ONLY IF they can push out the exact same production numbers as a non-mentally disabled staff member does. However, if the disabled employee fails to meet their daily production goal, then disciplinary action is implemented by management (up to & including termination of their employment). From my perspective; this "Not For Profit" company is trying to run its stores as if they were a For Profit business. They are undeniably failing to provide their disabled employees with any form of reasonable accommodation geared towards enabling them to successfully move forward in their efforts to become more self-reliant & self sufficient. Goodwill Industries of Kansas should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and need to immediately reevaluate the manner in which they handle these situations going forward before they lose more business...
Read moreGrand opening wasn’t good. We had to stand out in 32 degree weather for a half hour while the CEO, mayor of Wichita and city commissioner gave a speech. Little kids were frozen. Really inconsiderate for their customers. It looked like an acre of clothing inside. Carts ran out quickly. Apparently, they gave no consideration for the number of people coming. We didn’t buy anything and went to the Oliver store. An employee at Oliver said they had a big number of carts that could have been taken to the new store for the opening. People were jammed up in the back of the store trying to look at home goods. More space should have been allocated for home goods instead of clothing. We won’t be going back. Maize and...
Read moreThe trip was fine but like most shoppers and among those that donate, and as a professional buyer most nod their prices are too high and I pass by any overpriced items. However, I wish they would quit rounding up since they have raised prices too high. I am a huge fan of Goodwill but 1) raising the prices has brought huge culture shock and frankly must is not worth the price increases and 2) asking for us to do ate by rounding up appears like gouging twice. I love Goodwill so I will contribute items and buy occasionally but as a professional buyer and lifetime shopper, graduate level trained buyer and Supply Chain manager, let's keep the items in good condition and let's...
