I feel bad leaving this review, I'm not one normally to complain, but I've been experiencing the same problem consistently, so I decided it was time. I order ahead on the app so I can pick up my order on my way to work to help make sure I'm not late. Whenever I order ahead on the app my drinks are almost NEVER made correctly. I only enjoy the blonde espresso from starbucks, and always order my iced drinks made breve (with half and half). Switching from milk to half and half is a significant upcharge and also makes a huge impact on how the drink tastes. I tried ordering ahead on the app today since I'd recently received a gift card and hadn't been since December due to the same issue of them incorrectly preparing the order. They once again did not make the drink breve or use blonde espresso. I'd also ordered an extra shot, so the taste of the signature espresso was even stronger and more bitter than normal. Since I order ahead and grab it on my way to work, I don't have the time to ask them to remake it without being late. It's extremely frustrating to feel as though I wasted money on something that I literally can't enjoy, simply because someone didn't take the time and effort to use the correct milk and espresso base. There's also been many times where even if my order is made correctly, the food is cold, and the coffee is beginning to melt because they made it way before my projected pick up time. Read moreI have visited this location at (WSU) 4415 E 21st St N several times in the pass couple years and find that is not the most professional or shows favoritism. I find that if you enter the establishment to place an order you are overlooked - online/app orders and drive thru get the most attention it seems (as I had plenty of time to observe while waiting to be served) On Thursday, Sept 5, 2024 at apprx 8:10am, in the drive-thru, I placed an order for a "medicine ball tea" only to be told that they did not serve it anymore. I explained that just yesterday Wed. Sept 4, 2024 at approx 10:30am I was served one. I could hear conversation of confusion in the background and then someone explained that they no longer had the teas to make it anymore and rattled on some other substitution in which I was not interested in. This does explain why the tea I had the day before did not taste the same as in times past. I would have returned the tea but I had already arrived at work and had taken a sip. I wish I had been told the day before that it was no longer available rather than being deceived into thinking what I purchased was what I ordered. Read moreI have been going to this Starbucks for the better part of 5 years now, and I this is my favorite location. The people here are and have been amazing, but in particular Ty. Ty is always so welcoming and friendly, they take special care to connect, even if the line is backed up. They will use those quick couple minutes to really make your morning shine. As wonderful as my experience with Ty is, it is definitely part of the culture at this location. Everyone is always so friendly! If I ask for recommendations, I have never been led astray. I think the people here are very in tune with their customers, which leads them to better serve their customers.
