Time Honored Tattoo — Local services in Wichita

I was the second in my group of three girls to get a tattoo. First girl has had no issues at all with her tattoo. I assumed the artist had replaced the needle with a fresh one and maybe he did, but I have never had a tattoo act like this while healing. It is still red in spots, thick and cracked scabbing, and is still quite sore whenever I flex my arm or move it a certain way. Would definitely appreciate a refund, but since they are cash only I doubt I get one. Wouldn’t recommend coming here, as the girl who went after me has a very infected tattoo that will be dented and patchy now. Disappointing since their shop window says they are a clean shop.🤷🏻‍♀️😡

Edit: Just to clarify, I have never once had a tattoo like this. I’m quite experienced, since I have plenty of tattoos, so I know how to take care of one. As for living on a farm and taking care of animals, I’ve done that ever since I’ve had my very first tattoo. NEVER has it done this before. Maybe be a little bit more understanding instead of assuming we did something wrong, when we all are taking care of our tattoos the same way. Thank you for offering a touch up, but I am 3 hours away and will never be coming back to Wichita. The artist was awesome and fun to talk to, but maybe he went a little deep. Mistakes happen. Not trying to point any fingers or get someone in trouble. Just seemed odd that ours were acting up and the first girl’s is just fine. Thank you again for offering a touch up.

Further edit: The second photo is almost done healing. It is patchy in the heavily inked spots, I’m missing ink as it went too deep, very thin scratchy line work on the edges, and it looks like I had it done years ago. Two issues here. Wasn’t going to review this place until this just happened. So first issue was I came for a Friday the 13th tattoo and was greeted with extremely rude staff (and the selection for tattoo options was one sheet and minimal quality looking) and they wouldn’t do any other tattoos that day only the sheet of Friday the 13th ones so I left.

Second issue is I came with a friend today for her very first tattoo. I had my 6 mo old with me who was SLEEPING making NO NOISE or issue and they kicked me out for having my kid. I’m not from this area and I have no one to watch my son. He goes everywhere with me and does everything with me. I’ve gotten tattoos of my own with him with me before so it was definitely disturbing to be kicked out. Felt very discriminated against for being a mother. ¡ Wichita ! This is the place you want to go to for legit clean work, from ALL the artists who work here. I will be going back for more! I had the best experience here. I walked in and didn't have an appointment, I was able to get three separate tattoos that same day. They have a gum ball machine, you pay for a token and whatever tattoo outline comes out you get, "Get what you Get Tattoo" I love this Russian roulette type of tattooing. I'm so pleased with the linework and results of my hawk and cherub tattoo. I also got an original broken heart that was designed in the 30's.
