Dress Gallery Bridal and Tux Shop — Local services in Wichita

Thank you Darian and Dress Gallery! I had NEVER tried on a single wedding dress before my appointment with DG. I had a group of girls plus my Mom come with me to the appointment, and we had our own private suite. To me this was a big deal so it felt intimate and comfortable.

Darian was my consultant and she was amazing! I felt comfortable around her and listened to. At one point, I double checked with her that the dresses she was bringing were within my budget - and she was like “of course! I’d never bring something out of budget without letting you know first.” I’ve had girlfriends shop at other places where consultants really don’t listen to your budget so this is big, trust me!

I was able to probably try on 8 ish dresses. I had used the Pinterest before my appointment and had down the styles I liked. Darian would pull some of these and then listen to my feedback of “I like the top of this one, the skirt of this one, the bling on this one, the lace on this one, etc.” and then brought me my perfect dress! She was really supportive and gave me all the time I needed to say yes to the dress. I was never pressured to hurry up or make a purchase that day if I was not ready. She had me take a private moment at another mirror away from my friends and family so I could have some peace and really be confident in knowing if it was my dress or not.

We ordered that day and I love how DG has their own line of beautiful dresses you wont see anywhere else. The rest of the staff was great too as my girls and I hogged the photo backdrop for an extended amount of time afterwords haha, all taking pictures together with the “I said Yes” signs they provide. Later that day, on DG’s instagram story they shared how many brides said yes that day, and I was shocked how many brides they featured! I would have never known it was that busy since we were in such an intimate suite together. No chaos or anything! And they are currently partnering with a local wine company in town, so I got a free bottle of wine as a #DGBride.

Even after I’ve said yes, I have received follow up emails and texts on how the ordering process works and bridesmaid dress discounts, and I’m confident if I ever had a question while I was waiting for my gown to come in, I could give the girls a call and they’d be happy to help.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about Dress Gallery. The space is beautiful, peaceful, and somehow still full of energy and joy. It’s exactly the kind of experience I always hoped wedding dress shopping would be.

Allison was my consultant, and she was incredible. I cannot overstate how much I loved her. I showed her just a couple of inspo photos, and every single dress she pulled was spot on. Honestly, the very first dress she grabbed would have been the one if it had fit perfectly. But then the second dress I tried ended up being the one. And I was able to buy it off the rack that day, which was huge because my wedding is coming up pretty quickly and ordering just wasn’t something I wanted to stress about.

Something that really stood out to me was that I never once felt pressured to buy anything. I never felt rushed, like I was taking too much time, or like I was asking for too much. I felt completely comfortable to ask for whatever I wanted, and Allison was so happy to help every step of the way. I really got to just enjoy and fully soak in what was a super important moment in my life.

It was also really special to have my mom and aunt there with me. They were fully folded into the experience, with plenty of space to sit, share their opinions, be part of the excitement, and feel respected as part of the process. That meant a lot.

And honestly, the prices were amazing. I gave Allison my budget and she pulled tons of beautiful options for me. I never felt like I was being steered toward the bottom-of-the-barrel section or anything like that. Everything felt high quality, timelessly beautiful, and absolutely fair for the price. For context, I went to another store for an appointment, when I told them my budget, they basically told me they had nothing for me. It was wild. Dress Gallery was the exact opposite of that. Everything I tried was reasonably priced, and I never felt like I was getting scammed into spending more than I was comfortable with for something I’m only going to wear once.

We had been to a couple of other places before this, and even went to another appointment afterward, which just confirmed even more how much Dress Gallery stood out. The quality, the selection, the professionalism, the vibe… it was all just next-level. I’m so grateful to Allison and the whole team for making this such a special, fun, and genuinely...

I've heard nothing but good things about Dress Gallery, but the few occasions I have been in recently didn't live up to the expectations, so much so that I refused to look for my wedding dress here.

Last month, my fiance was in a wedding and had to stop in to be measured for a tux rental. I looked online and saw nothing that required an appointment for this. When we walked in the door, the staff offered a slight greeting but the second we said we needed measurements for a rental, they asked if we had an appointment to which we said no, and then they made us feel like the biggest inconvenience and reluctantly agreed to "fit us in" for a quick measurement. Mind you, there were 3-4 girls just standing at the front counter not working on anything from what I could tell. I also thought their outfits for work were inappropriate and exposed them too much.

When it was time to go in for the fitting once the Tux arrived, we went in on the Tuesday that they told us to, and once again were treated like we were an inconvenience. The shoes, were ordered 3 sizes too small. The gal said they would be overnighted and ready for pick up on Friday by 6 pm at the latest. I'm sorry, but that's not overnight and also, we get off work at 5:30 and the rehearsal started at 6, so that gave us no time to stop in and pick up the rental. We were able to stop in over lunch that Friday to pick it up and were told that anyone could bring it back on Monday before close.

My best friend and her family were gracious enough to return it since we were at work and wouldn't be able to get there before closing. She said "Oh yeah, they were rude and didn't want to interact with us to return the rental". We also had at least two other people from the wedding party have the same experience and mentioned it to us.

Again, I was recently wedding dress shopping and my mom and sister said this place has great reviews and I recounted my experience and refused to shop here. I said "They'd probably go all out to help me find something because I'm spending a lot of money, but it feels fake since I've seen how they treat you...
