I feel bad since the hotel staff are so nice, they truly are wonderful. but I can’t believe this place has any good reviews. Yes the building is “new” but does that make it good, no. I travel for work and see too many hotels, it’s safe to say this is the most awful bed I have ever experience. First clue should have been the indent on one side of the bed (keep in mind new hotel new bed right?). I even changed rooms hoping this would solve my issue, unfortunately this did not. The floor was honestly better but the fun just didn’t end there… if you can get past the metal springs you call a mattress, you will meet a new form of torture the likes of which you’ve never seen… the pillows. These “pillows” must be genetically designed, they compress smaller and smaller until nothing. New York style pizza is thicker than these “pillows” and would have been a better alternative. Even with 4 stacked they magically compress to zero. When I asked if they had any real pillows, they already knew the situation. That the pillows where not in-fact pillows and they had no real pillows (so a known issue hmmm). Now try getting comfy, close your eyes on your Hilton brand torture table and you will suddenly be awoke by your upstairs neighbor whispering or the sounds of footsteps pattering around you. When I say these floors are thin… you can feel them flex as you walk on them. I can even tell you what my upstairs and down stairs neighbors where watching too on their AirPods… So “New construction” very eco friendly much wow. Noise travels through this building like a f$&t in church. Then you get to the bathroom, it’s nice and cozy. Like a tiny Gemini space capsule, if only it could launch me out of here at 3 am. On a personal note, I quite smoking four years ago. This bed broke me. I found my self outside at 4 am, in the wonderful smoking area, praying for FEMA or the Red Cross to save me. They never showed. I could see in the eyes of the counter staff as they knew my pain.. they wish to help but can’t fix what their superiors have done.
I can’t emphasize enough how nice the staff are here, they moved my room when I told them of the issue. Helped when ever needed, I truly feel for them. Upper upper Mgmt decided to go ultra cheep on this site and the staff will have to handle the fallout as time goes by. I really hate seeing good people set up for failure. Now how this place has 4.7/5 stars I am incredibly suspicious of. I suspect there is some bots in the equation and it fooled me. In summary, don’t give this place 4.7 stars just for being new and in a “great” location. None of that matters if you pull an all nighter before a 10 hour work day. So thanks Hilton?
If you do have to stay here bring a pillow, air mattress and some ear plugs. But then you are just paying to go camping inside a building at that point.
Oh and good breakfast, they actually got...
Read moreThe thing we found incredible about Wichita is how great our hotel was! When we travel, we like to stay in a hotel with full kitchen amenities because, let's face it, as a solo parent, feeding the kids can get a little expensive. To save on the road, we always make the most of the hotel breakfast, and the choices at Home2 Suites were incredible. The breakfast provided was delightful, giving us a good start to our days before heading out on our adventures. The kids LOVED the waffles and the fresh, warm yogurt with fresh fruit! The breakfast sandwich options were plentiful, and the coffee was downright delicious.
We prepare our other meals in the room, with the occasional meal from a restaurant. The full kitchen amenities were a lifesaver for a single parent like me, helping to save on meal costs while ensuring my kids were well-fed.Home2 Suites even has a dishwasher, which makes it easier to keep my special needs son's feeding supplies clean. This hotel is conveniently located within walking or wheelchair distance of some pretty incredible places like Exploration Place and Keeper of the Plains. You can even roll right over to the riverwalk—no car needed! Plus, for those who are a bit more adventurous, there are scooters available to rent.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even giving us ideas for great coffee shops! Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for the kids. Staying at Home2 Suites allowed us to explore Wichita without breaking the bank, all while ensuring Elijah's needs were met and the kids had a blast in the pool! It’s these little conveniences and thoughtful touches that make our travels smoother and more enjoyable.Overall, Home2 Suites provided the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and affordability for our family's...

It was noticeably clean and the staff were always helpful over the phone and in person. I had called ahead to request a quieter room and they were able to accommodate. They were also able to accommodate a slightly earlier check-in, which was appreciated. We know it doesn’t always work out this way, but it was helpful for our day.||The first thing I noticed was how the hallways were quite warm. They definitely don’t cool them as much as they could. The room itself was decently comfortable and clean and AC worked fine in there. The pillows are not great, the mattress was ok. I’ve stayed at multiple Home2 Suites and this was the smallest bathroom I’ve encountered – the shower seemed smaller than normal and the placement of the refillable shampoo, conditioner, body wash and the grab bar meant we had to be careful not to bump our arms. I appreciated the decent water pressure in both the sink and shower. ||Noise level for downtown was as expected on a Saturday night stay. There were some motorcycles or cars revving down the streets between midnight and 1am. Nothing the hotel can do about that though. We were on the top floor toward end of hallway and appreciated the otherwise quiet stay.||We only had coffee and tea in the morning, so can’t speak to the quality of the breakfast. Oatmeal and toppings bar looked good, but I did notice that the large toaster had an “out of order” sign on it. This seems like something the manager could quickly resolve by running to a local retailer and picking up a 4 slice toaster to get them through until a replacement arrived.||Nearby eats to try: Doo Dah Diner for breakfast, Larkspur for dinner, Milkfloat...
