My girlfriend and I have completed dozens of escape rooms and have always loved the experience, but this was our first time trying a VR escape room. We were both curious but also a little hesitant since we werenât sure if the virtual setup would offer the same immersion and excitement as traditional, physical rooms. From a technology perspective, it was interesting and fairly well put together, though we did encounter a few glitches that briefly interrupted the experience and found it somewhat disorienting. The puzzles themselves were okay and the VR concept has potential, but we quickly realized we much prefer the hands-on interaction and tangible clues of a real escape room. The VR experience doesnât compare to an actual escape room but feels more like playing a video game, with meaningless items scattered everywhere, which was a major letdown. To call it an escape room is really a stretch. What really ruined the visit for us had nothing to do with the game itself, but with the ownerâs appalling attitude. After the session, instead of offering encouragement or even a simple âthanks for coming,â he was incredibly condescending. His comments felt patronizing and, honestly, bordered on outright insultsâhe made us feel stupid for struggling with certain parts and dismissed our feedback in a very rude way. Weâve never felt so unwelcome at any escape roomâVR or otherwise. We might have considered coming back or trying another VR room in the future, but the ownerâs offensive and unprofessional behavior made it clear we will never return to this establishment. If you value respectful customer service, Iâd strongly advise looking elsewhere. This visit left a bad taste in our mouths and took all the fun out of trying something new. My only wish is I could leave less than one star.

During the âdebriefâ if I had to hear âit was frustrating to watchâ one more time, I may have expressed my frustrations with you directly, however you had your child with you so I was respectful. A little humility would have gone a long way here; instead, your reply was marked by further arrogance and zero acknowledgment of how we were made to feel. If the intent truly wasnât to insult us, an apology or even some genuine humility would have been much more appropriate than shifting the blame. The day of the reservation we were called 2 1/2 hours before to inform that âthe time was not availableâ and they needed cancel our reservation. The owner admitted it was his fault and refunded the money, and rescheduled us for the following Saturday at 7:00 and to be there at 6:45. We were happy with this solution and looked forward to the reservation on 06/14/2025. The day of our new reservation about an hour before we received a call from the owner asking if we could come in earlier because they were âtrying to move things along for the night.â My wife and I were eating dinner and didnât see the call until about 6:25, once we called him back we agreed to rush over to the venue early. When we entered we felt very rushed and a bit comfortable. We enjoyed our game and used 1 hint, however halfway through hints started generating for us. During an intense fighting scene in our VR experience we heard our door open and close very quickly. Not even a minute after the game ended out of nowhere and we âwon.â What was supposed to be an hour experience ended up being a 38 minute experience. Afterwards we were practically forced to take a photo which we did agree too, but the owner made a strange joke about us agreeing to it in the contract we signed and eluded that he would post it regardless of our verbal consent. My wife, who booked the experience, was upset about the level of service we experienced and wrote the owner a email detailing her concerns.
