A few weeks ago I needed to buy a tow behind garden spreader for my 1 ac. garden. Online I found one at my local Tractor Supply that seemed just right. I arrived at my Tractor Supply and looked at 3 spreaders that were for sale. I decided on the one that brought me to this store. I have been to several Tractor Supply stores and this one was like the rest. Understaffed. Luckily there weren’t many shoppers. I asked the cashier if someone could help me with the box and she called for assistance. A tired looking employee arrived shortly and mustered a smile and asked how she could help me. I indicated the box containing the spreader. It was on a display taller than my head. She quickly brought a ladder, retrieved the box, assured me it wasn’t heavy, took it to the cashier and loaded it in my truck! Good service! Back at the garden I gathered the necessary tools and began assembly. I give the instructions a “C” grade. Someone without some knowledge of nuts and bolts and fasteners or how things work might have problems. The time I needed was about 45 minutes. I had to disassemble and reassemble two things I did wrong on the first try. I attached the spreader to my atv to test it. Right away I lost the pin that attached the wheel to the spinner drive. I replaced it with a small nut and bolt. Problem solved. Next the pin that attached the spinner to the rotating drive shaft did a poor job of agitating the material in the hopper. I replaced it with a bit of stiff wire bent to both retain the spinner and keep the material moving. After that no problems. It’s a great spreader. Worked well on uneven ground. The suggested settings were right on the mark. Note: this will not work with finely ground or powdered material. Says so on the instructions. I’ve used it several times since without...

Yesterday was the final straw for me and TSC. Went to get some food for the animals and some things I was missing for a project around the house. 1st issue is there was no nail/brad gun for sale. How is it I found a sand blaster, chipper and various other pneumatic tools but not a nail gun? There didnt even appear to be a empty spot where they had ran out. I dont think they even sell them. 2nd. No large box of brad nails. Since there was no brad gun I went looking for a punch and 1lb box of brad nails. Guess what, they didnt have either. Sure you could buy a 2oz box of brads at $3 a box. Looked like it had about 20 in the box. 3rd Issue - No stain of any kind or type. I realize they arent a hardware store but none at all? 4th issue - Hog Feed. Not sure who stocks this isle but every single time I come in there is either none on the floor or only 1 bag. You have to spend 10 minutes tracking someone down while they fiddle around the back to find it and bring it out. Tired of waiting on something that should be stocked. 5th issue and this is the one that was the final straw. Got a can of bee/wasp spray and they wouldn't sell it to me without my birth date. Im damn near 50 and as far as I know there is no federal regulation on insect spray in a can. I dont get asked this question at Home Depot or Lowes and there is no way I am giving them this personal information. TSC, you might be the only one open on Sunday in Willis, but from now on its worth driving into Conroe not to have to deal with your level...
