The good things first; The atmosphere. It was perfect. It sets the mood of a calm, millennial styled underground bar. Pipe lights, inner brick wall, rustic styled chairs, along with clean booths. The welcoming staff at the front door were very friendly, as well as the staff who took our order. I had ordered three things off of their menu; A pizza, a chicken Alfredo pasta bowl, and a chicken club sandwich. My pizza, which was a pepperoni, black olive, and mushroom, was absolutely phenomenal. The seasonings were perfect, and the taste was better than any pizza restaurant I have ever been to. Match the taste with the decore and you have your own home away from home.
Now, on to the not-so-good. The Alfredo pasta, along with the chicken club took almost an entire hour to get to our table, even after having gone up to check on our order multiple times. When gone up to ask the first time, which was after 30 minutes of ordering, they had told us that they haven't even started making it yet, despite seeing others around us who came in much later than me, getting their food already. I even noticed another gentleman in front of me have to go ask for a single salad, and after 15 minutes of asking did it come to him. However, after this little hiccup, the, who I presume to be, owner, did however give us a card saying that our next meal was on him, for the troubles. So I'm glad we were compensated in someway. Now, when we ate the noodles and sandwich, they were not really as good as you would expect. The chicken Alfredo tasted like old Ragu, and the chicken club had hardly anything on it. Which mind you, the chicken club was $10. These two items were not worth the wait, but the pizzas not only were delicious, but delivered out in a very timely manner.
Overall, the visit was a long, but pleasant experience. I have but one advice for the establishment, stick to only making what you make best. If you aren't satisfied with your own food, do not expect customers to be satisfied...
Read moreI like the pizza. I even shook hands with either the owner or manager on my first visit. My kids and wife like the food most of the time. My last visit will be my very last visit. They weren’t that busy. Lots of folks available. I wanted green peppers on my pizza. They said they only offer mixed red/yellow/green and can’t just do green. I asked if the vegetables were fresh—cut there or a mix that came premade. They assured me that they cut the peppers as needed all day every day and they are always fresh. I asked if I could possibly pay more to have just green peppers. The manager said she would have to ask her GM as this was a request that was not a normal or ordinary one. I thanked her and left. They have fresh green peppers but won’t put them on a pizza unless the customer also gets red and yellow peppers—neither of which I eat or enjoy. If they had said, “we are busy and prep in advance” or “they aren’t fresh and premixed” I would have understood. But they were not busy and they had the peppers. They choose not to make their pizzas that way. I respect that too. I choose where I am a patron and spend my money and I choose not to spend it at any restaurant that has what I am craving and has plenty of time but refuses to provide it because it’s not how they want to cook what I am ordering and paying for. As good as their food may be that turned me off and so I will not be back.
UPDATE: so my review resulted in contact from the restaurant asking for a chance to talk and possibly make things right. That happened within a day or so of my review. Zero follow up after I immediately responded inviting them to reach out and providing a way to contact me. Zero follow up. Appears it’s just a social media act with no genuine intentions. Message received. Definitely won’t be back now. Wish them well as the food is good but this lack of genuineness sours me to eating...
Read moreI’m sorry to have to leave a bad review about this location but I have no choice. We love the pizza from Crust Pizza Co and having lived in The Woodlands area for years our favorite location is the one in the Alden Bridge Shopping Center.
Having said that, we were so looking forward to this new location opening near us that we couldn’t wait to try it. What a disappointment! First of all, I don’t know what happened but apparently nobody in the Willis area buys XL pizza pies. The other day we went to MOD Pizza and they had no dough for their big pies and this crust pizza location either. Their largest size is the Large. First red flag, but we still wanted to give them a try. Anyway, we had a coupon for a free personal pizza. That pie was supposed to be pepperoni and sausage. It only came with about 4 slices of pepperoni and no joke 3 (THREE) pieces of sausage. Awful! It was insulting to see that once we got home and opened the box!!!
Then the second pie was supposed to be in their largest size available (Large) with pepperoni and extra cheese. Same story, couldn’t find the pepperoni nor the extra cheese. They said it’s one price and includes as many toppings as you request. Yeah, BUT WHERE ARE THE TOPPINGS???
Also, the pizza was tasteless, lacking the traditional delicious flavor and seasoning of the Crust Co Pizza and the sauce tasted weird, on the sweet side and it tasted cheap. Sauce tasted like the cheap big 101oz cans you would find at any Restaurant Depot for under $4. I’m sorry but we won’t be back!!! Why pay more for a smaller sized pie that comes with barely none of the toppings you requested? I rather wait to eat pizza until I’m in the Alden Bridge area. What a huge...
