Myself and my groomsmen recently rented tuxedos from this location. We initially had a great experience over the phone (not with this specific store), which led us to choose Men's Warehouse for its convenience. My groomsmen, coming from out of state, were able to get fitted at their local Men's Warehouse and have their tuxedos shipped to the Williston store.
When I went in to get fitted, it was a bit disheartening. Upon entering, I couldn't find any staff, which I understood given the current staffing challenges many places face. After some time, a younger gentleman approached us, and we explained that we needed fittings and to set up our party in their system. The process seemed like an inconvenience for him, despite it being around 4 PM, far from closing or a lunch break.
The three groomsmen who got fitted at this location on separate days experienced similar poor customer service. Additionally, the staff failed to set up our party in the system, causing unnecessary calls to confirm each item.
When notified that our tuxedos were ready, I went in to try mine on and again had difficulty finding assistance. Eventually, I found two younger men, a middle-aged woman, and an older woman chatting at a table in the back left corner. I stood waiting to be acknowledged, but none of them did. Finally, another young man helped me, but the pants were far too long, and the jacket didn’t fit well either. When I pointed out the poor fit, he initially dismissed my concerns but eventually had the seamstress hem the pants, which was the only positive part of the experience.
Out of the seven tuxedos we rented, five required adjustments or entirely different jackets and pants. My father-in-law mentioned a deal where the sixth tuxedo would be free if you rented six. The employee was unaware of this and showed no interest in helping, so we let it go. Thankfully, when we picked up our tuxedos, an older lady noticed the discount hadn't been applied and refunded a small amount to everyone.
Overall, this was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and I would not...
Read moreI bought two pronto uomo platinum $500 suits a couple years ago in California for a church mission I was serving. I bought them based on the lifetime warranty for problems with the suit. I went to the North East for two years in which I needed them for meetings. I wore the suits once a week and rotated which I wore so every other week for 3 hours each just sitting during meetings. All of the pants frayed on my inner thighs after only 6 months. I took them to the men's wearhouse in Burlington, VT hoping to use the warranty and was turned away because apparently the 6 months I wore the suits for a couple hours every other week was the "lifetime of the suit" which is apparently what the lifetime warranty meant. The lifetime warranty covers until the suits lifetime is up which according to that manager was whenever the suit wore out. I felt honestly that the manager felt like he could be rude and get away with it because we were a couple young goofy looking missionaries in ties and name tags. I will wear suits for the rest of my life and feel like I can never shop at men's wearhouse again, and being a very active church going person I know a lot of people who buy suits and every time it has come up I have adamantly discouraged people from buying from men's wearhouse and will continue to do so. I bought two $120 Stafford suits from jc Penny's to replace the two $500 suits and they lasted the other 18 months of my mission and I still wear them weekly to church. Buy from here if you want the name but don't care about the service. But if you want a better suit, cheaper, with the same service,...
Read moreI had a group of people going to the store for a fitting. A few of the people were coming from about an hour away since it’s our only location in VT. Someone from our party showed up to their appointment to an empty closed up store with a handwritten sign on the door saying they had to close. We tried calling the store and it seemed there wasn’t a phone connected because there was no ringing and was just silence on the other end. We got no phone call notifying us that the store was closing early and to reschedule our appointments. We had to quickly call other people in our party to tell them not to waste an hour drive to show up to a closed store.
My fiancé was in a wedding last year and they went through Men’s Wearhouse. The woman that fitted him seemed miserable and doesn’t know how to interact with customers. We showed up to pick his rental up before we left town for the wedding to find out his and several other groomsman’s tuxes had not arrived to the store yet. One of the groomsman never got his tux rental and had to rush the day before the wedding to find a rental from somewhere else.
We’ve talked to corporate for Men’s Wearhouse and suggested that someone from headquarters needs to check on the store.
I knew I should have trusted my gut feeling after our experience last year, but thought I would give it a second chance since there is nothing for tux rentals in our area. Needless to say we canceled our group for Mens Wearhouse for our own wedding and will be going with the only other tux rental company...
