Definitely giving the Farmhouse some slack here given they just opened their doors. What worked: excellent table service, delicious food (the cheese plate for 2 and the angus burger were superb!). The service manager couldn’t have been more helpful. Location is great too. Glad we grabbed reservations in advance since it was busy. The “meh” was it was a bit on the pricey side, drinks were just OK (their specialty drinks are served in larger glasses that makes the drinks look like they are 3/4 pours). Bar area is nice but not very large.

I would rate this a 3.5/5. $21 burger - It was pretty good, but I only 1 piece of bacon that was kind of undercooked. I expect a better burger and 2 pieces of bacon for that price. Definitely room for improvement. My friend got a seafood platter - fried fish and shrimp. My other friend got a burger. We had a few beers- good selection on tap. Nice new restaurant, and service was good. Overall a good spot but the prices are a little high for what it is.

Amazing service and great meal. Servers Josie, Bella, and Bianca were delightful and attentive. The heirloom tomato appetizer was exquisite, as well as steak tartar. We shared shrimp and grits which was lovely and flavorful (great kitchen). We concluded the night with a Norman Rockefeller-esque “IPA stout” chocolate milkshake. Beautiful evening. Highly recommend.

We tried brunch and while the staff was fantastic, the food was nothing special. The grilled Boston Brown Bread was tough. Even a knife wasn't getting through it. I grew up with a grandmother who made it from scratch, and I was excited but it was a letdown.

The scrambled eggs were creamy and delicious. Bacon was perfectly cooked. Toast was plain. No butter was offered until we were halfway done the meal.

The potatoes were not impressive. It was like someone took the potato cubes, tossed them in nothing more than hot paprika, and that was that. There was no discernable salt or other to flavor beyond paprika. If this is how they always are, garlic aioli would do a lot to make them appealing. I hate ketchup...

A welcome addition to Williston. Service was excellent. The space is warmer, quieter, and more comfortable than the previous restaurant at this location. Local cheese appetizer was delicious but seemed overpriced for very small servings. Burgers and sides were very good, though one ordered medium-rare was practically raw in the middle (this critique from a diner who frequently considers burgers overcooked). Shared an amazing A+ flourless chocolate torte for desert that cried out to be accompanied by coffee, but the restaurant had no decaf. Not they ran out of it-- our server (who was a gem) said they had never had it since they opened a month ago. Seriously? Not what I would expect from experienced...

Took my family out for some farmhouse magic and they did not disappoint. Everything was amazing! We sat outside on the patio and share some great farm to table appetizers, the farmers plate was delicious and the onion rings have changed my life as I am one who doesn’t like onions and can’t get enough of these! All the FOH staff were so attentive to my families needs and greeted my children with such devotion. We all enjoyed our meals ( market salad, LaPlatte burger grilled cheese) all ingredients are based in Vermont which I love! What a way to give back to our small state. My mother in law came in to town to visit and can’t wait for our next dine out at Farmhouse! Keep up the great work...
