FOOD POISONING ALERT W/ a side of bad attitudes & Owner unwilling to Take the food thats making people sick of the menu! Recommended by a "regular," my sister and I wanted to try a place we hadent been to up in the Williston area, unfortunately we stumbled up the dirtiest little Chinese restaurant there was. A decent looking person coming from the Men at Wok, highly recommended the place, said he ate there often. We didn't think to ask how often he got sick, We should have! Upon entering we see that it wasn't the cleanest, trying to get past the filth, giving this place a chance we ordered. The youngest Chinese girl there, very rude, took our orders, not wanting to explain anything or give us a chance to ask questions. I made sure she had my order correct, she was annoyed. Guess what, my order was incorrect! Not only was there items missing my sister's was wrong. Her mushroom dish was ROTTEN, And the CRAB RAGGOONS Spoiled! We brought them back and spoke directly to the owner, who might I add had cooked our meals with bugers hanging out of his nose, not appetizing ! He was more worried that we had not finished our spoiled meals, that later had made us very ill, my sister getting food POISONING from it, Than actually taking action and getting rid of the spoiled food he is serving people! I would rate this place in the negatives if I could. Please if you have kids DONT Let them EAT HERE, for an adult it's harsh enough, I cannot imagine what would have happened if my little one had...
Read moreEdited: 2 stars - 4 stars it has been a LONG time since I've seen the woman mentioned below working the counter. The gentleman they have now seems much more friendly, and even recognizes me sometimes now (I should order from here less).
Honestly, this place has some of my favorite chinese food that I've had. My family has ordered from here for as long as i can remember, and it's always been really good. So why 2 stars? Other people have already pointed it out, but the lady who runs the counter is the single most rude and snippy person ive seen in food service. And she has always been like that. But when i went in the other day, it was worse than that. Beyond the normal rudeness, she started making snyde comments behind customers backs, with others there who could clearly hear her (sometimes including the one she was angry at). I love the food, and honestly, if you can put up with her, i do recommend it. God forbid though one of you ask the other to repeat yourself one time, or ask any...
Read moreOh Men at Wok, what happened? Gone is the mediocre strip mall Chinese we've come to expect over decades. Our last two orders were a ghost of what the Wok once was. It just wasn't good.
Lo mein was not the traditional lo mein noodles they used to be. It was inedible, the thin, short, slippery noodles they used as substitute were gross. The chicken wings used to be whole chicken wings, now separated drums and flats. The crab rangoons were unchanged, but showed signs that the fryer is way, way overdue for a cleaning. Chicken fingers seemed both undercooked and overcooked, the chicken was tough and dry but the breading doughy in spots. No fortune cookies either 😕
It was sad. MaW was never the best Chinese food, but it was consistent and there for our greasy food cravings. We thought the first bad order was just a rough night, but our last takeout order felt...
