I walked in Monday evening looking to get information about an appraisal and repair on my engagement ring because my ring is vintage and I was anxious about the process. I had read many reviews ultimately landing us at Steven Difranco. I had called in Friday to get appraisal information and was told to walk in anytime to setup. We waited patiently as there were other customers in the store being helped. When it was our turn, Steve informed us they weren’t taking any appraisals until January. I was surprised that that information couldn’t have been shared on the phone to save us a trip. I asked about the process of a ring repair and how that would line up with getting an appraisal at the same time. I had the piece on me which he reviewed at the counter. He proceeded to mention “You know the center stone is fake, right?” in the middle of the store. I was appalled that he would be so insensitive and not discreet to give this information to me about a ring that clearly I care enough about to take the time to get repairs and an appraisal on. It was incredibly disappointing to have done research for so long to pick a supposedly well-rated, reputable jeweler to be treated in such a way. I hope this experience doesn’t ever happen to...

This was my worst experience at any jewelry establishment going into this place thinking they were professional was a big mistake. They severely damaged my jewelry that I turned in to be repaired and cleaned. I’ve gotten jewelry repaired before to know this is a horrible job, my necklace was broken in only in one place and other than that was in great condition when I brought it in. They insulated my necklace by calling in ratty which, it wasn’t I’ve only worn it a few times and pointed out which it was hollow and I guess the excuse to break it when the job was to repair it. Also the picture below show how they destroyed the links and did the worst repair job I’ve ever seen! Also didn’t clean the jewelry and I was told I’d receive a call in 14 days for a pick up I went after 21 days to find out they hadn’t even started working on it, I don’t know if this is the treat all their customers get but I will not be going back nor recommending their...

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. SO GLAD WE DID!!! Steve and his team are top notch jewelers. After spending several hours with Steve on a Saturday afternoon, we left more like friends than customers. We went over every type and style of engagement ring imaginable. What we wanted was custom, and due to a lack of planning on my part, we had an accelerated time frame. Steve got us set up with a temporary band and the diamond we picked out so I could propose on our New Hampshire vacation that weekend. A few weeks later, I got the call the band we ordered was in. Dropped it off the next morning. Less than 24 hours later I was picking it up and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT.
