This has been my favorite location for many years, but not anymore. Tonight's service was atrocious, ghetto, and unprofessional. I was the last to arrive of my party at about 915pm. When I got there, I asked why there was a puddle of water under my cousin's chair? I would later find that it was because a waitress dropped water on my cousin and her baby, then just left the ice and water on the floor under her chair. No apologies from the waitress, we were just given another waitress. Upon my late arrival, I was not offered a booster or high chair for my 2 year old. I wanted to ask for one and maybe order a drink, but I was distracted by the mayhem that appeared to taking place at the table. The waitress completely ignored me, but I'm not surprised because she was very busy trying to catch up on all of the NON-service she had given in the previous 2 hours that my family had been sitting in the restaurant, mind you they waited almost an hour before being served and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The waitress had an attitude, was clearly annoyed that she had been addressed about missing condiments, sauces, sides, etc. No refills. The manager did not appear until my cousin got up from the table to ask for him. He sent the waitresses over to collect the trash they had served, before he replaced cold food with fresh hot food. The waitresses were rushing as if they didn't want to be bothered, hence many mistakes and drenching my cousin's and her 3 month old with ice water. You might say it was a bad time to come, it was too late, but they got threat 730pm. No excuse. The manager The manager sets the tone for how employees behave and the standard of their customer service. The manager also has a habit of constantly peeking out at my table when I have eaten here before and despite this, he doesn't pick up on the shenanigans of his employees. I've had coworkers complain that he makes them feel uncomfortable with the staring. This was an...
Read moreCame in for a party of two and was told there would be a 15-minute wait. We put our name on the list and puttered around the gift shop and looked at all of the knick-knacks and before we were able to buy a picture frame for Mother's Day, our table was called. I ordered the cheesecake French Toast and a Classic Sampler with Meatloaf, Chicken and Dumplings, and Fried Chicken Breasts. I got macaroni and cheese and string beans as the sides. I also had a Arnold Palmer, which was delicious and comes with free refills. The food came out fast, the server was attentive and drinks did not go empty. The French Toast was AMAZING. It was almost like a bread pudding consistency loaded with cream cheese filling and topped with strawberries and blueberries and whipped cream. It was delicious. Not too sweet and it comes with a berry compote topping that I didn't use because the dish was good without it! It came with choice of bacon or sausage and is a GREAT meal. The Classic Sampler is a classic for a reason. The meatloaf is great, tastes like homemade loaded with green and red peppers and topped with a sweet ketchup topping. It is lovely. The Chicken and Dumplings are bland to look at but taste delicious with the dumplings cooked to a pillowey consistency and a simple delicious white gravy. Fried chicken breast is seasoned well with a nice crunch and juicy meat. The sides are simple but good compliments to the meal. It is enough food for leftovers. Comes with your choice of cornbread or a biscuit and both are delicious. Meal came to around $50.00 for three entrees a drink and a coffee. So a great price for enough food for two meals per entrée. Cracker Barrel is always consistent and one of the reasons I consistently go there. The food is good and the prices are too! Service has never been bad from my point of view. The oly downfall is that it gets busy so there is usually...
Read moreThe food at Cracker Barrel was amazing!!! The have new items on the menu for summer that are a must try. Like the Rocket Bomb Mimosa which is a Strawberry mimosa with a red white and blue bomb popcicle sitting in it. It was amazing!!!! This was no watered down drink!!! They also gave me the remaining champagne left in my mini bottle. This was an added plus! The Southern fried chicken was amazing as well!!! The portion size was 4 pieces!! I took home most of my food!!! The bacon Mac and cheese was excellent. They also had Sweet and Spicy ( I may have the name wrong🤭) Chicken tenders that were SO good!!! Finger licking good to be exact!! OK now, I know this seems like I ate a mountain of food, but wait wait....this was a cheat day, and all of this wasn't my food, I tasted my daughter and best friends food, so don't judge me, and if you do, meh...i like to eat...LOL🤣. OK, so back to it. If you are one who like hushpuppies...GET THEM!!!! That's all I'm saying about that🤗. The iced latte was a sweet creamy dream for anyone like me who loves coffee drinks. It had loads of whipped cream on top, and a caramel drizzle within that was so good. I kept trying to snatch a dumpling from my daughters bowl when she wasn't looking because they were fantastic!!! I've had my share of homemade and chef made dumplings, these are definitely in my top 3!!!! Delicious. But best of all by far was our server Rebekah T. She went above and beyond to give us amazing service. She was kind, knowledgeable, attentive, patient, funny, and just overall absolutely phenomenal!!!!! Everyone in the service industry could learn a thing or 10 from her!!!! She is definitely the reason we will be returning to this location...
