We went last Sun and everything changed. The owner while trying to be nice is quite misogynistic. The cabbage rolls were crunchy and had almost no meat. Everything else was just ok. Oh and owner was so busy talking he forgot our salads which came w the meal. Needless to say we will not be returning in the near future which makes me sad. I walked by Cafe Europa twice this morning and was compelled to go in and explore. The menu is quite interesting so I decided to order the German Breakfast which is supposed to be 2 eggs, German sausage (tasted like hillshire farms kielbasa), sausage links (mine had 2 patties) German potatoes (hashbrowns like they have at Dennys) and homemade bread. I also asked them to add what they offer on the "Healthy Breakfast"-tomatoes and asparagus. They had no asparagus but offered spinach an acceptable substitution. I was then intrigued by the pastry case forcing me to order Berlin Squares (a kinda of chocolate torte with pie crust rather than cake layers) and French Cheese (a kind of phyllo dough cheese danish only not at all as sweet). I have photos of the above two. I will go again, but I was not entirely impressed. The youngster behind the counter was nice and accomodating though as was the cook which is why I will go back.

This was the first time I had ever come to this Bistro, and I am VERY pleased I chose it. (There are four of us) as we sat and were served each course, it was directly by one of the owners (which this is a family owned and run business by John and Anna Juric), John. He was very polite, very hospitable, and we even requested that he sit with us to tell us more about the homemade food and Bistro. He gladly sat and spoke with us as if we were a part of his family. It's an absolute pleasure that he took the time to join us and enlighten us on the history of his family, as well as their Bistro. Highly recommended for everyone, and he is a true believer in absolute treating everyone that comes in as family. He even presented all four of us with a free slice of delicious layered, homemade cake (orange squared) each. They truly believe in giving to their customers due to knowing how important it is to have happiness with a very friendly establishment and atmosphere.

I call to place a pick up order, guy on the phone barely spoke any english. I asked for one chicken paprikash meal with extra dumplings, he said can't do extra have to get 2 full meals. I say no never mind just 1. I even repeated myself to made sure he heard I did not want to pay for two full meals. I get there and he says I either pay for the two full meals or I get nothing and to get out LOL. Absolutly terrible business and owners GLAD to walk out. I don't think I've ever walked into a business and been treated so poorly. I've never felt the need to actually write a review anywhere but that was just insane to me. I have to pay for two meals or leave the store haha, I don't know how long this place has been open but that's not how you run a business. Absolute joke

This star is overrated. I was in Cafe Europa today and had dinner with my daughter and her husband. The food was just ok. The meal was to include salad and bread, with the meal. I, also, ordered a bowl of soup, I got the soup and then the meal, so I assumed that the owner had swapped the soup for the salad. First mistake. When I got the bill I was charged for the soup, full price. Then I asked, the owner, why I did not receive the salad, second mistake, he proceeded to tell me, that for the eighteen years he has been in business, no one has wanted both the soup and the salad with their meals. I told him that since I was charged for the soup I would like the salad, my third mistake. Then the owner went into a tirade about "How he gave me extra food, which didn't happen, and that the other people I was with got their salads, which doesn't have anything to do with my situation, made no sense. I suppose that there must be a two salad limit at each table so I must have forfeited mine. That is the only reason I can think of. I suppose He got his way because I eventually paid the bill, wasn't leaving a tip, and left talking to myself. Fourth mistake. The owner was rude about the whole thing and did a lot of muttering, that I could not understand, shrugged his shoulders a lot, and repeated that no one wants soup and salad with their meals. Now I suppose you are asking, "Would I go back there ? Take a wild guess. If you want rude, very slow service, so-so food that should be a little cheaper, and not get what is written on the menu, go there and aggravate yourself, Otherwise try some place else. The choice is...

We must have went on the wrong day or the owner writes his own reviews! We dined..oops "ate" at this cafe for Valentines Day w another couple. The menu said dinner came w/a salad & bread. The server responded "No, no salad tonight bcz there was entertainment". Which by the way cost $10 at the door for a guy to sing. I'm still not sure what the singer had to do w/not including salad with our dinner?? Next, we asked "Does dinner come w a veggie instead?" He said "No". So I asked if I could "order" a veggie or salad? Again he said "No, only bread". Lol. So now the dinners come out w/what looked like canned chicken or tuna for the Chicken Paprikash and for the Chicken Alfredo. Also portions were small as my husband ate his dinner in 5 bites. Then like it couldn't have gotten any worse, we asked, we were not offered more bread & when it came out. That was it!! Now I'm angry as it looked like it was already half-eaten. The server never checked back to ask how our meals were or if we wanted more coffee or a refill of iced tea. He never thanked us for coming & then had enough nerve to hand us menus to take home! Also the coffee w/served with the creamer already in it, rather then bringing creamer to the table. Nor were we offered any sugar for the coffee or iced tea. If they would have offered a comp for a free dinner, sadly, I would have said just keep it as I wouldn't even give it to my worst enemy. The worst part about the whole dinner was that our server was the owner! Thanks Europa."😡😳 Sent...
