Very disappointed. If you want to pay 18$ for a few pieces of thin cut oxtail, bland cabbage, and no plantains or rice coming with your plate, go here. I have eaten a lot of Jamaican food, and I never leave anything left on my plate. I always ask for extra gravy on the rice because the gravy is supposed to be good to the last drop. This did not taste Jamaican. The oxtail was tender, but the sauce honestly tasted like really salty Mccormick roast beef mix. I didn't taste any herbs/thyme, no hint of clove, no scotchbonnet, nothing, just really salty brown sauce. I almost didn't even want to finish it was so salty. When you get the plate it is presented like you get a couple good size pieces of oxtail, but in actuality, they take 1 normal oxtail and slice it into a few pieces. I have never seen this done before and felt so ripped off. I scooted all the oxtail together (3 slices) and it was really just a couple bites of meat per slice, for 18$. Normally you at least get one good size piece and a couple smaller but chunky pieces..This is not a cheap meal. We got 2 plates, my husband and I, and it was nearly 40 dollars for a lot of disappointment. Rice, beans, cabbage, plantains, are cheap ingredients. At least give people willing to pay for oxtail a decent size piece of meat. I will never go back. I gave the rest of the rice and sauce to my dog…I never have done that before. Oh and also they have no beer....

I ordered stew chicken with rice and peas Mac and cheese with a side of plantain. This is my first time coming here because I was craving Jamaican. I do want to say that the stewed chicken was cooked to perfection the rice and peas was amazing very soft the plantain was perfect but the mac & cheese was OK the noodles were Overcooked but besides that I would give the food 8.5 out of 10 customer service was pretty good I was the only one in there. Upon my arrival the man was on his phone but it could’ve about business so not gonna Base It off of that customer service I will give it to 8.5 out of 10 didn’t seem too busy because I was the only one in there I said but it...

I got the oxtails with rice and peas and the curry potatoes. I was not happy about my oxtails they was mad lil and chewy I had about 5 baby oxtails. They was so small I could actually put the whole thing in my mouth. My rice was stuck together and dry. The only that was good was my curry potatoes. If I’m going to pay 22 dollars on oxtails at least let them big with full of meat. I had fat. I feel like I was scammed out my food. It was late and he was closing soon so I didn’t want to drive way back over there. But please do better if you gonna serve those. But overall it’s a no for me on those. I might try to the curry chicken I probably woulda got more meat for a...

Got some jerk chicken and escovitch chicken for lunch with curry vegetables, fries, candied yams and plantains as the sides. The jerk chicken was well flavored and tender. The curry vegetables had the distinct curry flavor. The yams and plantains were excellent. Fries were good. The escovitch chicken had a strong vinegar taste, stronger than expected; didn’t expect it that strong.

This restaurant serves large portions of Delicious food. As I ate the food it reminded me of the genuine restaurants in South Florida and the true Jamaican culture. The yams were cooked perfectly and the oxtail slid off the bone with ease. Everything was cooked naturally, which is exceptional. This is the best Jamaican restaurant in North Carolina that I've ever tried.
