Short review: 5 stars for the overall gym and 5 stars for my powerlifting training session with Dylan.
Now for a more in-depth review: I had an incredible workout here. I was in town for two days so I did a day pass one day and a training session the second day, so I really got to experience most of the gym. With that being said the equipment is amazing, especially the whole wall they have for cable attachments. Everything is so organized and nothing was missing or out of order. Plenty of treadmills and great machines, one in particular for quad extensions had 3 different places for weight which targeted a different part of the range of motion and it was wild! Needless to say I have not had a quad workout like that before.
For powerlifting, to list off everything they have would be a mouthful but they have everything you need to train for a competition.
Super easy to wipe down equipment too as they have wipes so you don’t need to pump out paper towels or grab an already soaked microfiber towel and put the spray back.
No bad smells around the gym also which is a big plus!
Working with Dylan one on one for powerlifting training was also incredible. Dylan gave me some very helpful insights that had me literally noticing great progress just weeks after at a powerlifting comp. My squat flew like never before and I feel more confident with squatting/training legs...

Needed a location during the work week while traveling to prep for a charity deadlift event. I knew this was a solid location but… you have no idea.
Firstly, the space is huge. For a local gym you would expect a cramped dungeon, things fitting where they can, equipment somewhat tied to whatever rack or fixture it could fit on.
Not this place- it’s overflowing with equipment but it’s so open. EVERYTHING is maintained amazingly well regardless of age. I’m pretty sure I was the dustiest thing in this gym.
Day pass entry was hassle free, everyone there was either welcoming or on their own business and getting after it. The owner trains and even though I showed up at 5:30, he was there with his dog with as much of a pleasant attitude as any human could muster given the early hours of the morning.
Parking lot was close to the doors, well lit and while it’s not necessarily inviting on the outside, this place is an absolute gem. Those of you in the Wilmington area have no clue how good you have it.
I told the owner that it ALMOST makes me want to join a powerlifting gym which, if you know me, is unheard of praise. Anything other than Unleashed would...
Read moreI cannot express how much I love this gym and the trainers/owners, Dylan and Kate. I joined May 2021for two half hour sessions a week, just to have some accountability.
I quickly learned the difference between Dylan’s training style and all the others I’d been to in the past. He encourages and pushes but does so with common sense. He didn’t expect me, someone 100 lbs overweight, to do burpees and other silly exercises. He focused on building my strength with weightlifting and a little cardio.
I’ve since started powerlifting. I’ve been in two competitions and have three more this year. I absolutely love working out. I’ve never said this before in my life. At 48 years old, my max deadlift is 242.5 lbs! My max benchpress is 88 lbs! I would never have known this potential if it hadn’t been for Dylan.
Both he and his wife, Kate, are trainers here. They take into account injuries and any limitations and slowly build on those. They push but in a way that doesn’t make you feel frustrated. They know what you’re capable of before you do.
If you’re looking for a trainer to help realize your potential, to gain some accountability, and to improve your health and strength, look no further.
I will forever be...
