I was blessed to find such an amazing place when my life was in shambles. Sober living environments have rules galore and frequently make you go to AA, NA, etc. Mike expects the few here to be followed. From experience I know that if you keep your head down, pay your rent on time, do your chore, and don’t use, everything will move forward in your sobriety smoothly until you can get back on your feet. Mike had the heart to bring food into this house and keep all repairs up to date. If you’re reading this and are concerned with any bad review I promise those are from people that weren’t following these simple rules. And in the events that relapse happens Mike is the first one to offer a ride to detox himself. His heart and commitment to this place is something I can’t describe. The current house manager Danielle is so critical to how well this place runs, she is exactly the eyes that Mike needs when he is busy with his busy schedule. She is committed and empathetic, she takes on so much to make sure that everyone is heard and treated with compassion and priority. She has eyes on everything and does exactly what a manager at a sober living house should be doing. I’m proud to say that my adventure here was brief, but only because it presented me with the only to find myself and get back on my feet to start my life in a direction I never expected. Gratitude is something we all forget to address and if this review can show Mike and Danielle just how grateful I was to be a tenant here its only the tip of the iceburg. Thank you vision house for the direction you pointed me toward, and if I ever find myself down and out I know with confidence that this is a...
Read moreThis place is anything but a sober house. They may claim it is but it's not. Most of the residents get high or drink and they don't do anything. I would smoke in the bathroom everyday and they knew and wouldn't say anything just so they can get your rent money. The managers are just as bad, taking prescription natcotics and saying they are clean, which in reality they aren't. Just because it's prescribed doesn't mean it's alright and your clean. Tim the big fat lazy worthless manager is the worst. He gets so high on his pills he nods out during the meetings. Deborah, the 30 year crack street prostitute who is somehow an asst manager is a nosey, arrogant, rude person. She thinks she is better then everyone and tries to tell people how to live their lives which is a joke. She is so loud and obnoxious, she doesn't care or have any respect or consideration for anyone else there, she only cares about herself and has no care in the world for anyone else's time. She lies about everything to get people to turn against each other and has no respect for the privacy or anonymity of others. She will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. If your trying to stay sober do not come here, it will make you want to use and they tolerate it like I said just to get the rent money. The place is a dump, really dirty and so tight on the money they can't even turn the heat on, the bedrooms are 40degrees at night. Unless you are desperate and got no other place to go then maybe consider this house but don't say I didn't warn you. All your food groceries get eaten and taken and so on. I could go on for pages, but I hope this review gives you a good warning. Stay away...
Read moreSo I lived at vision house for a month In 2022, I want to strongly encourage if your looking for a sober living this is not going to accommodate you, if your looking for a sober atmosphere this isn’t the place for you. Your going to have to be strong in your recovery too live at this Group Home, because though it has your accommodations to live. Your surroundings aren’t very pleasant. The Staff, the house manger is inconsistent, is unreliable, when you turn to him for guidance for your suspicions you will be turnt down, feeling helpless “ an addict knows another addict.” The owner, “ hot shot,” is a gamble if you don’t mind walking on Eggshells and avoiding him when he arrives your hearse awaits. “The Gentleman will take your money, allow you too stay for a couple of days then put you out on the street for displaying a character defect that your working on, witnessing.” The Gentleman will Insult you, threaten you, and no refunds with be giving even if you just paid for a month. I strongly suggest pay weekly. Rest assured their aren’t any bed bugs but they’re is A kitchen with an infestation of roaches, babies, toddlers, teenagers, mom and pop’s, At the end of this baffling experience this Group Home isn’t a Sober living not even a halfway house it’s a Group Home families live here, not all there live here, drug addicts live here, parolees live here, active users live here. Live at this residency if your normal daily lifestyles consist of 40’s...
