I have been an AT&T customer since I received my first cell phone in middle school and I can't tell you how fast I want to be switching over to Verizon right now. I have gone to this same Willimantic store on Main Street twice now in the past 3 weeks. Both times have been about issues with my Samsung Galaxy S22 not connecting to network. (Which I was assured was really a Samsung update issue on my phone). I understand they personally cannot always fix my problems and have accepted that. However, BOTH TIMES that I've visited and called this store have left me dumbfounded as I've had the RUDEST interactions with workers. The first time I had to prompt most of the conversation by asking questions just trying to see what my problem was and was told me it was a national issue. That I basically could try a new Sim card for the phone or have to upgrade to a new phone like everyone else. (Which is really frustrating because my phone is only half paid off with $600 still owed). This most recent interaction was a quick phone call I made today. I called to ask about the current colors they had in store (I have never had an iPhone before) and wanted to make sure I didn't need to make the trip to Manchester to get simething I'd like. When I asked the worker what phone colors they had for the iPhone 15 pro and max I was given the response, "you really want me to list all of those to you? Do you know the colors iphones are? Have you looked at your options at all?" I said yes and I was probably thinking a blue, black or white iphone. She then said "yup we have those" and before I could even ask my next question SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE. Why is it so hard to be treated like a human sometimes. The phone call was less than 2 minutes of her time and she couldn't even be bothered to ask if I needed anything else. I had met the female manager there not too long ago and she was very nice and helpful, talked about upkeep on the store and how she was working hard to make it mice. However, the employees she hires are disappointing as they have shown poor attitude towards customers, show little desire for customer service and make their customers feel like dirt. Needless to say that I am all set and will no longer be a customer at this location. Verizon is looking better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwful experience with this store. It took 3 people to set up a new account. Was told my bill would be 120$ but got a 365$ bill one week later. From the bill it seems they gave me two lines instead of one line like I asked for. When I went back to the store to dispute the bill I was told I had to call customer service to cancel the extra line. I cancelled the line with customer service who told me I had to go to the store to drop the fraudulent charges as they couldnāt do anything additional about it. After going back to the store they told me I had to call customer service to drop the charges, there was nothing they could do. I went back and forth to the store too many times in a short period. Come to find out, after talking with billing department, I am on the most expensive plan and my bill is actually 170$.
Additionally. I had to pay off my current phone with them to get a new one which I did. However after all these problems I was done with att so I went to Verizon who gave me great promos a 100 card and an Apple Watch. Upon cancelling my new line with att they told me I could not get my paid off phone back and I could not get the credit for it. The kicker is I had 30 mins to mail the phone back or get hit with termination fees as it was Saturday and the post office closes at 12.
This store and att in general is awful. After being with them for 20 years I am disgusted by their business practice and this store should be shut down until they get re-trained! Consulting a lawyer on the fraudulent charge, getting my property back and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe work at the University of Connecticut and until the past few years did all our business (3 phones, 1 apple watch) at the AT&T corporate store on the UConn campus in Storrs. That store closed and we recently upgraded one phone to an iphone 13 pro. Our nearest location is the AT&T store on Main St. in Willimantic so we went to Willi to move everything from iphone 11 to iphone 13 and also get needed accessories. Greeting us was store manager Nashaly Soto and she was superb. She is, without question, the best in person representative of AT&T that we've ever encountered---professional, patient, totally informed in all aspects of the iphone and upgrading, and so pleasant. She moved all data, etc., cleared and shut down the iphone 11 so I could return it in a pre-paid box to AT&T for an refund, and then worked with us on accessories (charger for iphone 13, clear case for Sierra Blue model). She then suggested an alternative to the usual stick on screen cover that we don't favor. We bought a "Pure Gear Liquid Glass" cover for the phone (it did cost $55) and Nashaly gentlely applied the liquid (which quickly affixes to the screen) to the entire screen/corners/etc. She knows all facets of her business and we are thrilled with the new phone and its liquid cover. If you go to the Willimantic AT&T Store---ask for Nashaly---you won't be...
