Went to Rustlers the Friday after Thanksgiving (2022) with my family - a large boisterous group that is as easy to please as they are likely to receive a noise complaint from other tables. We showed up with no notice, but they were able to seat us quickly.
The food was good - we all split a bunch of appetizers, the burnt ends were delicious, I would order them again and I'm not even a burnt ends person. The pretzels were good - bite sized. We ordered wings and the fried mozzarella as well - the food matches the vibe of this restaurant and both are homey and comforting. Most of us started off our meals with a bowl or a cup of the fish chowder - I highly recommend doing so if you visit.
For my dinner I ordered the swiss cheese and mushroom style burger which I believe was called the 'Buffalo Bill Burger' with my choice of sides - I went with the mashed potatoes, though I was able to try the fries and they were also really well made. Thick cut and still crispy! I didnt eat too much of my burger the night of, but what I ate was very high quality and it made for an excellent lunch the following Sunday. The burger is a steakhouse style burger so it's nice and big and juicy. The buns held up to the burger and didn't get overly mushy - I've also never met a mushroom on a burger that I haven't liked and Rustlers' burger was no exception to that rule.
The drinks were also a highlight! I kept it light with champagne, but there were plenty of beers on tap and plenty of mixed drinks to choose from including a spiked lemonade that my guest for the evening enjoyed thoroughly. I didn't pay, nor did I see the bill (luxury of having a birthday around the holiday), so I can't add many insights about the prices, but it was not cheap. The food was really high quality, though, so if you're looking for an upscale steakhouse dinner in a more relaxed environment Rustlers...
Read moreWe were seated immediately and the chairs and tables are very comfortable! I was there celebrating my birthday with my son, the waitress was soooo attentive and very prompt, also checked on us throughout our meal the perfect amount of times (usually I have to sit and wonder where my waitress is at other places!). All the staff was friendly and especially our waitress. The food was soooo delicious zero complaint! My son was obsessed as well and he’s typically picky! We had been to Rustler’s at its old location (basically across the street lol) but there new building is much nicer! I definitely love it; the whole atmosphere was comfortable and kind of modern rustic AND THE FOOD is even better since they moved! I will be choosing there to eat anytime I want go out to eat from now on, definitely best seafood/steakhouse food around! I don’t know why some say they are expensive, I actually think they’re cheaper than the chain restaurants with better quality food and larger portions!!! Also I was very pleased at the amount of choices on the menu, having a gluten intolerance it can be difficult eating out but there was soo many delicious options that were not fried or breaded for eating gluten free! My son tried Tiramisu for the first time and loved it!! -our order- my son got the chicken finger platter, we got scallops as an appetizer (the dipping sauce with it was amazing!!) then I got the “chicken” stir fry but substituted for steak tips! It was delicious! Amazing time thank you so much, happy to have celebrated my...
Read moreVisiting from New Hampshire and staying at a campground near by. Decided to check out this restaurant as we heard good things! The food here was excellent and for the most part the service was great. We had a large party of 8 which we had evenly split the bill ahead of time to avoid concerns. We had a lengthy wait for our appetizers and our meals came within 5 minutes after we got our appetizers. As a group still no complaints and the food was great. Our only complaint would be when we got the bills we all had a automatic gratuity fee. So most of us either gave exact change for the bill which included the tax and the gratuity fee as well as the total bill. As my friends and I were walking out we got dirty looks from the bar tender who was talking about our bills and how we only gave a $0.45 tip to customers in the bar. The customer at the bar was saying rude things to my boyfriend and friends about this. Our waitress asked if she had done anything wrong. We were all confused and said no, there was an automatic tip on the bill. She then said that was not supposed to be on there seemed to feel bad about the situation. I’m giving a 2 star rating because of the unprofessionalism within the staff. If there had been an issue a manager should have approached us. As well as the staff should not be confronting outer customers about this as it could lead to unnecessary altercations. Unfortunately even though the food was great as a group we will not be returning due to this type of...
