I was referred to C&D by a friend. I went in to get my exhaust fixed. There was a section that had a hole and a crack in it from a pipe that I put in about two years ago. I was quoted $160 for the repair. Took about an hour or less. After i hot home i decided to look at the repair job. I probably should have looked at it there but whats done is done. The way I had it originally set up the muffler was a slip fit on both ends of the exhaust so I could change out the muffler whenever I need to. I was not impressed I figured Would be a professional flare on the pipe to go over the exhaust. The way they flared the pipe and it looks like they’ve been over with a hammer or a pair of pliers. Then they filled up the gap with a weld once they butted it up to the exhaust pipe. There is no nice flare where it slid over the pipe and then they just welded a nice seam. The other side where the muffler would slide over the pipe either apparently they couldn’t get the pipe out of the muffler or didn’t want to take the time to. They decided to pretty much whack off the pipe as close to the muffler as possible, and then did the same type of Flare, and welded it to my muffler. So now my muffler is no longer a slip fit. It is a cut off next time I need to change the muffler. Hopefully there is enough pipe there so the next time I put a muffler on it will slip over what they installed.
If it was going to cost a little bit more money for the extra time to be able to remove the pipe out of the muffler, if that was the case, I would rather have gone that way than weld the pipe directly to my muffler. So now only one in my muffler is a slit fit the other and is now welded to a pipe.
If they were to change the design of how I had my exhaust system setup or modify it differently. It would’ve been nice to have a little bit more communication from The Shop on what they were going to have to do. When they gave me the quote, I just figured they were going to do the set up the same way i had it.

Read moreGreat customer service every time I need my car serviced. Honest and trustworthy mechanic!! I got a flat tire from running over a piece of metal on the road and the tire was completely done. I went there as I always do and the mechanic recommended me to just get a used tire instead of a new one so that the used one can be even across the board with the other tires I have. I appreciated his honesty in not wanting to sell me a brawn’s new tire just so that can make more money off of me. Then a few weeks later I had to go back because my car was acting up and shutting off on its own and check engine light came on. Come to find out it was an oxygen sensor that needed to be replaced and they told me I don’t need to fix it this very moment but I do run the risk of it happening more frequently in the months to come which again I appreciated their honesty in not wanting to sell me a service that I didn’t need immediately so I decided to get it fixed that day. The next day my check engine light came on again and when I brought it back to them they were honest in telling me that a valve from one of the pieces that they replaced had broke and they fixed it at no extra charge because it was not my fault. I appreciate their professionalism and honesty and integrity in their work. They are fairly priced and honest people and I feel very comfortable bringing my car to...
Read moreThe service was pleasant Once I arrived however they told me it was going to cost me $350 for an exhaust leak that job only took an hour. I felt that abnormally High. I drove off thinking that the job was done and it was still more of a noise I took it to the dealership and they recognized that the welding C&D Auto was not sufficient there are holes and bubbling coming from the welding you can tell that the welding was a garbage job very amateur it wasn't a smooth weld it was bumpy I brought it in and they tell me because I was frustrated that did not going to do anything all of a sudden I have a manifold leak. The only people who came close to the manifold was the technician who did the welding. I'm calling the credit card company and disputing the charge I have pictures of it leaking from the welded area they didn't even want to look at the pictures of the leaking from the welded area. Then the technician told the girl in the front that I had a manifold leak or the manifold was loose I asked him how much would it cost to tighten it and he told the girl it doesn't matter he doesn't like that I came in there frustrated because of the welded pipe failure that his technician performed so I said okay I'm calling my credit card company to dispute the charge no one gets over on me especially not for...
