9 months ago, we reassured my inlaws that switching over to a plan with us would save them money and they would love the service (mistake). We decided to go into this location and they purchased 2 new Samsung phones and a new tablet. We also upgraded our service to unlimited at that time. We asked MULTIPLE times if we needed to do anything with their old service and we were reassured that it would all be taken care of. Fast forward a month and we all start getting notifications saying we were over our data. Come to find out, he failed to switch us over to our new plan. No problem, we were credited back for the mistake. Then a couple of months later, my inlaws look at their bank statement and they were still getting charged for their old tablet - hundreds of dollars. They were left with no choice but to pay it, as it was being placed in collections. When I called this office to notify them of the problem in the summer, I was told he would get back to me after doing some digging. I never heard back. I had to contact again and was finally told of the information needed for the request to credit our account for the money their mishap cost us. Time goes by and no one has gotten back to me so I check in on it again. Another few weeks go by and I check in one more time. It is now December and I'm told they will credit a portion back to us. I requested to appeal it and they increased it up to half. The representative that helped us blatantly lied and informed the person I spoke with that he told us we needed to call on our old service. There were 4 of us there that day that witnessed the truth of what really took place. According to them, we are left with no choice but to accept their amount or we go to customer service where we may not get anything.    Read moreI must say that after being in multiple different Verizon stores in the last few years I am beyond happy with my experience today!! I went in to get a new phone and as we all know how going in places right now is a huge challenge ,especially for the people who are having to take care of us, John Anderson did an absolutely AMAZING job! Talk about great customer service while trying to make sure everyoneâs safety comes first!! He managed to get several customers taken care of from the comfort of our cars as much as he could and sanitized everything before each of us entered into the store! I couldnât imagine the stress all of this has taken on Verizonâs employees, but John was top notch and more than patient with us all! He definitely deserves a raise if you ask me. Hands down best and I mean BEST experience I have had at a Verizon store EVER! He also made sure I got the absolute BEST deals they have going on right now!!! If you are in need of any phone help through Verizon you MUST contact John Anderson at the authorized Verizon store in Winterset Iowa. Believe me when I say you WILL NOT be disappointed!!! Only person I want to deal with for my cellular services from now on!! For anyone that knows me also knows how particular I am and more than skeptical when dealing with this kind of stuff and I have no complaints even with only one customer per employee.    Read moreSince I live in Winterset, I went to this location here a few months ago to get the new iPhone 11. I was told it only came in black and silver. Also was told I would have to pay $281 in store to get it. They kept trying to bribe me into doing autopay every month and would only give me auto pay prices even though I told them MANY times we weâre NOT going to do autopay. They kept trying to bribe me into getting a tablet with the phone, convincing me it would be cheaper every month and i would pay $100 less in store, so $181 total. They also told me it was going to be MORE EXPENSIVE for me to stay on the same plan I was currently on, and that I could upgrade to a better plan for less $$. So glad I decided to wait and sleep on it!!!!!!
The next day I went to a store in Des Moines on S.E. 14th St. that had many more color choices including the green one I ended up purchasing. I was able to keep the same plan Iâve always been on and was told NO THEY DONâT HAVE A BETTER PLAN THATâS CHEAPER OR EVEN THE SAME PRICE AS MINE. They told me their offers they had going on as far ad tablets and accessories, and when I said I wasnât interested, I was no longer bothered about it.
BUT I got my new phone from the Des Moines Store and got out of there for $36.00!!!!!!!! Still not sure why they were trying so hard to rip me off in Winterset, but I most definitely will NOT go back to that...
