Meijers is always in close proximity of “Satan’s Five &Dime” (aka wallyfart). This negative conjunctivity of polarity sucks Meijers into the forefront like it was being sucked out of the solar system by Neptune. That’s not to say they don’t provide better products, better service, better ambience (in a dept. store? Are you nutz? Borderline. Scitzo-comedic, in the genre of Lewis Black, my long lost younger brother and Sam Kinnisan my long lost cousin and his father …
I go to both. I go to the bad lands when I’m in a very bad mood and don’t mind if I leave collateral damage behind! The more I do to undermine an un-American company (based on how it treats its workers not who owns it, damn Republicans) the more I feel I’ve made a contribution to the 99.99ZERO. STILL STRIVING FOR MY 5th 9.
Aside all the political noise the difference especially in food is like a summer day on the beach in Michigan versus the same day where ever the people end up if this climate thing is real. I’ll be there, I’ll call so leave my cell in the ashes please.
Just as a comparative aside: live in Alabama for a little over a year. Wife, originally from NYNY, suffered a near fatal dose of culture shock while working in a Mobile Al. hospital. She would ask people what language they were speaking, it was usually English, with some Cajun, Islanders, centuries old Irish, Scottish and in some areas a little France’. I understood it. I grew up in Mi. plenty folk from the south came up to work in ww2.
I took a bag of totally wilted lettuce to customer service. A very pleasant young black woman gave me this; “ sometimes I wonder if you boys have the sense to come otta the rain ( I’m white, and the answer is “no”) “, she threw the bag in the garbage and showed me the areas not to buy from for fear of poisoning. She admonished me for being so stupid. On every corner was a farmers market. My mother had been reincarnated as a assertive young black woman. You go mom! There were no Meijers in Alabama but their truck farms started producing in March and tapped out in June and the the Yankee produce came in. Came back to Mi. Moved up nort. Different place, same problems, poverty, except down there they’ve...
Read moreThe Store Manager Sam is very disrespectful! What happened to the 10-foot rule? It seems like I was grading the employees, I will definitely wasn't the one being greeted. He was following me and my fiance around, profiling. His other night manager was also rude as hell. I am in the vitamin section trying to figure out what the price would be, or up where a product was because somebody overstocked something; to where another product was supposed to be period just to put it out in the shelf. I said excuse me sir about 4 times and he was about 5 feet from my face completely ignored me and kept walking. I have my brother with me as well who had about $400 in his cart; but we left it their. None of their employees or managers have respect for anyone except for themselves. My brother, fiance and I were very disrespected an unwelcomed. I drove 20 miles from where I live to try out a different Meijer because usually they have different things on clearance and what not period but I swear on everything I will never go to the Wixom Meijer again in my life. Will also be contacting corporate in the morning. I accidentally went into the men's bathroom instead of the woman's bathroom because I had head trauma and it's hard for me to see, the next thing you know I come out to two managers talking about they called loss prevention. The most ridiculous unprofessional situation I have ever had to deal with! Donald from General Merchandise was the nicest person in that entire store of employees. Even if he couldn't answer my question about how there a lottery machine works, he told me if I figured it out to let him know so he could help other customers. answered every question I had and didn't tell me where the product was, took me to it period until you got pulled away from me for no reason by the store manager. Thank you donald.
I had to rate it something in order to leave my review. Please Excuse any misspellings, punctuation and or any other matters. I was so upset, disrespected and Beyond disgusted I used talk to text.
What a great Store Manager You Got Meijer. Just remember word of mouth is the best...
Read moreOn December 7th, 2021, my mother and I went to the Wixom Meijer to receive our Moderna COVID Boosters. My mother’s scheduled time was 11:30, mine was 11:40. We got in line to check in for our Covid Boosters. Right before I was called for my shot (even though my mother was scheduled to go before me), an elderly lady asked my mother if we were waiting to get our COVID Boosters. My mother said yes but wasn’t sure if the Pharmacy was going by appointment time or check-in time. The employee who was about to give me my COVID Booster, a black lady in her 20’s, eavesdropped on my mother’s conversation to try and prove that she was going in the right order. My mother tried to explain to the employee that she was not accusing her of not going in the right order. The employee remained argumentative and defensive with my mother, to the point of throwing verbal attacks and yelling.
I asked the employee to stop being rude, she then phoned her coworker to fill in for her. She recorded the booster on my vaccination card, even though she had not administered the shot. We told the coworker, a white guy in his 20’s or 30’s, what happened and he sarcastically laughed as if he didn’t believe us. Then he said, “I apologize for my coworker’s behavior, BUT, she was probably under stress.” Then he administered our Boosters. What offended me more than the female employee’s behavior was that her male coworker both tried to justify her nasty behavior and blamed us for it.
After over eight years of using this Pharmacy, my mother has already begun transferring all of her prescriptions elsewhere. I will never go to the Wixom...
