Like most everything out there, all ALDI locations are absolutely not created equal. Some are way busier than others, some are frequently out of things, others are dated and rundown, etc., but luckily you don't have to worry about any of that here.
I frequently find myself at different ALDI locations due to my schedule and needing this or that while I am in different areas. Out of the several locations that I regularly stop to shop at, this one is hands down the best.
Despite being located in a very busy metropolitan area, this location is rarely busy, and almost never crowded. There is a good chance that even if you were to come here on a Sunday afternoon (when most grocery stores are an absolute nightmare) you might find yourself not even having to wait in line at all. That being said, I will say that typically there is some sort of line, but it never takes more than a few minutes to get through it.
This location also always seems to be fully stocked up whenever I am here. I've been to a few locations that seem like they're always out of the things I am looking for or need, but I have never found that to be the case here.
Seeming to piggy back off of a large parking area with Menards, and a few other retailers, I've also never had an issue finding parking here either. As busy as it gets, there just always seems to be enough ALDI designated parking, which is awesome because there is literally nothing I hate more than trying to drive around hunting for a parking spot in a packed parking lot.
The employees here are also friendly and professional, but honestly that's a thing that is pretty standard at ALDI in general, and now that I am thinking about it, I don't honestly think that I have ever really run into a rude or unprofessional ALDI employee at any of the locations that I have been to (which is nothing short of impressive given the retail environment these days).
When all is said and done, I go out of my way to come to this location because things just run smoothly, and I can always get in and out with exactly what I need. I literally have another ALDI location five minutes from my house, and I would rather drive the extra twenty minutes to this one because of the overall great grocery shopping experience I continue to find myself having...
Read moreMy wife and I are on a fixed income and are always looking to shop for good, affordable groceries.
Today we stopped in at the Aldi store on Wixom Road in Wixom, Michigan to buy ingredients for tacos. We bought a head of lettuce, tomatoes and, what we thought was, sharp cheddar cheese. What a waste of money.
The tomatoes were tasteless and, after reading the list of ingredients on the package, we found that the sharp, shredded cheddar cheese was not real cheese rather it was a flavorless manufactured cheese product that contained cheese.
A few months ago we bought some of Aldi's filet mignon steaks. After attempting to eat them we threw them in the garbage.
To all those, young and old, we strongly suggest you shop elsewhere. We wound up tossing the tomatoes and cheese in the garbage. So much for trying to...
Read moreSome of there prices are good and they a a pasta sauce that I like. My biggest complaint with Aldis is that their employees are not very friendly and they never smile..they all look like they hate their jobs. Hard to figure out why. They don't have to gather carts from the parking lot. They stock cases not individual products and the cashiers are sitting down. They don't even have to bag your groceries. My next complaint is there products are never faced. You have to turn them around to see what they are like I said..I'll keep going in every once in a while to grab a few of the pasta...
