The girl who works there, Faith I think her name is. First time i came in I had clear instructions but she couldn’t stop 1 sec to actually hear what I needed, a 16x20 impression on shiny finish core foam with a 3 inch white border. I asked her if it was possible and without looking a me, she said: If it’s the right dimensions, yes, otherwise no. Which I found a little rude so I asked her if she could check the document for me just to make sure cause it was for next day and I knew i wouldn’t have time to print it again. She checked and said: You’re all set, come tomorrow around 10 am (I paid extra to get it a little earlier). Second day I get there, there’s an elderly lady trying to print something and she asks for assistance due to her eyesight (she said she couldn’t read the instructions). Faith was here again, and she tells this really nice lady: You’ve been here before, you should know how to do it yourself. The lady doesn’t seem very offended and leaves for a sec, comes back with another worker from the store and Faith stops the worker and TELLS HER “SHE COMES ALL THE TIME AND EVERY TIME SHE ASKS FOR ASSISTANCE, SHE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DO IT HERSELF”. The other worker then explains that the lady has eyesight problems, to which she replies “Well, i’m just letting you know, she’s here all the time” and then proceeds to do everything for the lady herself anyways (?). Then to my impression, I realized this is not what I ordered, I politely tell her that I asked her to print it with a 3 inch white border and she goes “you never told me that, if you wanted a white border, you should’ve sent the document with a white border” to which I told her I didn’t know that and that’s why I kept trying to get her to check if it was possible the day before. She then said “well, you want it or not” so I call the person who i needed to print it for cause at this point we weren’t going to be able to reprint. I ended up paying 50 DOLLARS, for a print that was not what I ordered, got treated incredibly disrespectful and weirdly, I felt like this was based on discrimination, cause Faith was being nice to everyone else, but me, she even made jokes about the elder lady with one of the customers that was right next to me and seemed completely overly-friendly with other customers both time i was there. I wonder what the reason was, cause im usually incredibly respectful and try to be as polite and easygoing as possible with service workers, cause I know how stressful it is to deal with difficult customers every day, but that doesn’t mean I should withstand disrespect or discrimination. Read moreThe girl at the printing services counter at Staples in Iselin, NJ has an absolute appalling attitude towards customers. She should never be allowed to talk to customers directly unless the management trains her properly on customer service. She has the behavior of a hormonal teenager.
I ordered my cards on a Sunday at 8AM on Staples website for pickup at the Iselin, NJ store and the order status said it will be ready at 5:30PM. Staples closes at 6PM on Sundays so i was a little anxious about my order as i needed the cards for an early meeting next day. Also the order status on their website was stuck at "preparing" so i decided to go to staples at around 2pm to check on my order.
I ask the girl at the printing services counter about the status of my order and she replies with an angry face and a big attitude like i am inconveniencing her "The order wont be ready". I ask her again what does she mean by "it wont be ready". and she gives me another vague answer "It wont be ready yet" with even more attitude. This makes me more worried and i ask her again "the website said it will be ready by 5:30. are you saying it wont be ready today". Her response was "its 2pm now!".
I ask again "so will it be ready by 5:30 then?" and she now starts arguing with me for no reason instead of just letting me know if it will be ready or not.
In the age of online shopping, i can order supplies for my business from anywhere and never have to go to Staples ever again. And you employee people like this, it is another reason never have to go there again.
I came home and logged on to their website to cancel the order. I don't trust this person to do a good job with my order and i am convinced she'll mess up my order just out of spite. There is no way to cancel order online, i have to call the same place and talk to her again to cancel the order :(
I am absolutely sure i am not the only person who had this experience with this person. I never leave reviews online but i was so upset about this experience, i decided to leave a feedback.

Read moreI felt the need to place a review which I dont normally do but I'm very happy I did since I just realized the lady (Kyra Maldonado) decided to write a review about the same situation!! I was a customer at the store at the time of the incident. I witnessed this "Karen" of a customer scolding the poor girl who was trying to help her with her print. I overheard the girl (Karina) tell Kyra (Karen) that she ordered the wrong paper online but that she can fix it and even showed her the different types of cardstock paper she had. This yound lady spoke calmly and sweetly towards this customer only to have her retaliate in such a rude manner. Not only did this lady get nastier and louder with her verbal abuse but she was indeed the one to become aggressive and condescending towards Karina, calling her names and telling her she was incompetent. The poor girl had no choice but to call the manager for help as this Karen continued her antics to belittle her. I felt so bad for her and when the Karen finally left... I walked over and told her how amazing she handled that situation and told her some people are just miserable with their lives. Karina has helped me in the past with many prints/projects and she is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. Please dont listen to this misery of a human who clearly just wants to try and ruin people's lives. Go see for yourself how amazing this girl is! Because of Karina, I will always shop at Staples!!
