I actually came to the store trying to find a dress that wasn't too expensive (their dresses are not too expensive for the elaborate gowns they are, my budget was low for this particular event) for my daughter's Halloween dance. She wanted to be an elegant princess but the ball gowns were too expensive just to buy for a costume. An event, absolutely, Halloween, no. Their dresses are beautiful btw. The one woman (wish I had thought to ask their names) suggested to my daughter to do a more modern, yet still elegant princess. She found a few short yet beautiful dresses for her which didn't fit. The other woman at the register is looking on the computer for costume rental stores and possible other places for me to get a cheaper dress that would work and fit or rent a dress. They had beautiful tiaras and jewelry and I was thinking of buying one, even if it was more than I planned on spending because I felt, after all their attention to us, all their assistance, trying to help us find an alternative (you would have thought my daughter was related to them and they felt it was their mission to get her something that worked and she was happy with) that I should patronize their store and support the business.
They even said that they were less elaborate tiaras at other stores (they named specifically). It was refreshing to see folks running a store, where sales are key, not push us into something that was too expensive, helping my daughter embrace the idea of a more modern princess so that she wouldn't feel bad about not getting one of the beautiful ball gowns, helping a single mom living paycheck to paycheck save some money, and not only all these things, but suggest alternative stores. We did find a really nice black and sparkle cocktail dress with cap sleeves and a flowy skirt. We are going to pair it with a pair of my new black sparkly kitten heels and my modern jewelry I wore for my wedding. Some gloves and a tiara and we are good to go.
Sorry for such a long post, but honestly, those ladies were a breath of fresh air and made a situation where my daughter was leaning towards disappointment, to a happy ending bc of their advice and their help finding alternatives. I will say this much, if I ever need an elegant dress for a black tie event or wedding, I am not going anywhere else. Ladies, thank you again. We will come by and visit and show you pictures from the day of the dance. There should be more people like you in the world.

*just an update. My friends daughter is having her quincenera next month. When he had asked about dresses back in May, I could think of no other place to go. We went there and they gave her the same treatment they would give a bride looking for her wedding gown. She tried on a bunch of dresses, found the perfect one and it was available in her color. She was thrilled. Again, the ladies working that day were overly attentive, honest when asked their opinions, and helped to make her dress purchasing experience one to remember. I will forever recommend Ultimate fashions to anyone looking for that perfect party, quincenera, prom, or wedding attendant dress. My daughter will be there for her sweet 16 dress in a year and a half! Thanks again ladies. You really are the best and I will recommend to all of those who come to me for dress ideas (and I help plan a lot...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I live 3 hrs away.. Shopping for a prom gown in mid Feb. My daughter found one but it had 2 issues with it. There was no other gown like it in her size on the floor nor could we order one. Sales girl said if we paid in full, they would take care of the 2 issues at no cost. Ok, fine. Then proceeds to check me out and we were discussing what we agreed upon but she ended up talking to me like I was 2 yrs, constantly repeating everything. I gave them 6 wks to do the repairs and then they would call my other daughter who lives near there to pick it up. Fast fwd 5 wks. I called Sat to check on the status of the dress. I was told that they would deliver the dress (from the seamstress) tomorrow to the store. Ok. My daughter who lives near there called Sun morning just to get an idea of when and she heard Laura (i found out later) that they don't know the exact time but sometime after 1 but in a rude tone. So then I called and did speak with Laura. 1) she said my daughter miss interpreted her tone and that she wasn't speaking rudely. 2) She was apologizing anyway if she thought she sounded that way. My daughter went in and spoke with Laura. Laura got the dress. My daughter opened up the plastic bag and low and behold, the issues weren't even fixed! Laura, again, try to apologize, but by that time, my daughter had had enough. Laura said that they could not fix the one issue because my other daughter neede to be in it so they could measure. Well, that was NOT indicated back in Feb. She then took the dress in the back and had the seamstress fix the other issue. Mind you, took her 10 min to do it, yet here it is 5 wks later. Just plain rude. Don't shop there. You'll be...
Read moreI had such an awful experience at this place, and I am never going back. I am only speaking on my personal experience and what happened to me the day that I went to shop for a dress for my niece for her sixteenth birthday. My niece had few suggestions when it came to what dress she was looking for so I asked a lady with short blonde hair who was the only one working in the store that day if she could assist me with looking for short champagne-colored dresses for a sixteenth birthday party and the lady refused to show me dresses until I gave her a budget of how much I wanted to spend. From the beginning, I thought this was weird because it doesn't matter how much I am willing to spend. I didn't have a budget and was open to any price range as long as my niece loved the dress. However, this lady said, "I am not going to show you $500 dresses if you are only willing to spend $100". I found this super offensive because never did I mention only spending $100 on a dress. Then she goes and tells me "Oh I don't mean to be rude" and I looked at her and said yes you are being rude. I am just asking to be shown some dresses and she walks away. Then a couple walks in, and they ask for a dress in a specific color and she says, "I can make anything happen for you". Never did I hear her ask the couple what their price range was and was willing to immediately help them find a dress. I felt like I was being treated differently from other customers and I have never experienced something like this in my life. I suggest hiring better employees who don't assume the worst about a costumer. Super...
